YouTubers.

Really enjoyed Manors golf's new video. James Wilson returning to his childhood club and living in the clubhouse until he beats the course record. Great watch. He did a similar thing with the Shetland islands challenge video too, not returning home until he birdies all 54 holes on the island. The way he narrates them is class. Both worth a watch.
That Shetland one was quality, will have to watch this one.

I don't watch it but a new 'not a perfect golfer' vid popped on, he has a bit of a run-in with a member re pace of play. I reckon the YT'ber is both guilty and innocent

Also a new 'Professional Golf Advisor' vid Quest for the Open, another winning video with a couple of chuckle out loud bits

Really enjoyed Jimmy Bullard's three videos of him playing in a Legends Tour event. Costa Navarino is absolutely stunning. His chat with his caddie on the greens was comical: Bullard would ask "Where you seein' it?", caddie would point to a line and Bullard would invariably disagree and point to his own line. No idea why he kept asking!

Watched the Duels on BDC channel today and enjoyed it. Good production quality and good participants which like to take a jibe at each other

I watched that video , in my opinion the Pro was in the wrong for letting out when a comp was in play . But the old timer member was rude and reminds me of golf members in the 80s when I first started playing .

Enjoying it, but once again found Wesley a pain - making silly excuses when he went against what Rahm said he should hit or giving him giving Rahm advice at other times. Only watched half of it tonight though.

Even telling BdC how to walk under the ropes lol.

I had this happen when I first started playing a few years ago. Was oblivious to courses having competitions on Saturdays etc. Went to a local course and the pro let me out. Was on the 12th hacking around but keeping up pace and not holding anyone up and an old member came over to me kind of aggressively and told me I could go back to the first as the members were all out and start again. I ignored him and kept going but wasn't enjoyable.

Surprised the pro let me out tbh looking back

Similar happened to me and my pals several years ago at Richings Park, I think. A few two-balls caught us up and started moaning that there was a match-play thing happening with four matches taking place, and that we shouldn't be on the course. We just said, we've made a booking, paid our green fees and here we are, so tough luck. 🤷‍♂️ After letting the first group through we finished the front nine and then stopped for a drink to let all the other matches through. But yes, the point is, it's the club's booking system or pro shop at fault, not the chap who's turned up and paid a fee to play the course.

Watched the rest tonight.

Enjoyed it as a whole, but my opinion on Wesley hasn't changed - genuine pita.

Maybe it's just me?

Rahm seemed quite fed up with him too, but maybe that was just for getting more views - who knows.

If that’s richings park near Langley slough ..I left there because the rounds were so long due to them selling tee times to all .. it was okay to go for a lunch time range session or after work because it was 5 minutes from the office .. but otherwise it was a total time waste.
It made me look at my membership selection more carefully… best places charge huge green fees and survive on high membership fees .. not medium membership fees and discount green fees.

Pretty sure they play practice rounds together, or have done in the past, so it’s probably friends winding eachother up.

Wesley is a bit brash sometimes but he’s grown on me. The only thing I don’t like about him is how he sets up to hit his driver, gives me the fear that he’s going to smash the shaft into pieces!

Why is there a problem with people not playing in a comp being on the course at the same time as people playing in a comp?

The member doing the complaining on that video was an absolute bell end. I hope enough people see the clip of him that he’s embarrassed about his behaviour.

Presume you're talking about Not the perfect golfer?

Was an odd confrontation. You could see the guy had no where to go. Also if the member is clear that it shouldn't happen then they need to talk to the pro shop as they have allowed it.

Looks like he has removed the video. Wonder if the club got in touch

Yeah on several occasions the vid shows he’s definitely waiting on tee &/or fairway making the following members' reaction well OTT but while not backing up the member behaviour at all… what the member sees from his view point is probably quite different

He experiences delays, slow play and waiting etc and likely all he can see is a 1-ball in front (often waiting) but also faffing about setting up and removing a tripod/camera on every shot and also by the green

Folks on here have kittens if a player marks their scorecard on the green or leaves their bag in the wrong place, what would they do if they saw not a perfect bloke going off to the side to collapse a bloomin tripod instead of heading to next tee!

As I say the member is out of line but maybe there is a perspective to it

edit: Even if the camera is mounted on his trolly, he’s placing the trolly in an area for filming himself, not for exiting the greens

I fully get that. You can only blame/get angry at the group you see holding you up. The bigger picture is normally a group several ahead that has the knock on effect for slow play

Not really if you are a rational person.

There is no need at all for the type of behaviour shown by the member.

I tried to watch the video looks like he has taken it down

Completely agree, at our place I often go out when comps are on, as long as my actions don't hinder others what difference does it make.

Hopefully this member has been spoken too as he was completely out of order, how would a visitor know if there was an ever so important mid-week comp going on and he wasn't allow to play. Not his fault the club accepted his money and give him a tee time.

Also got to say, if someone clapped me off the 18th green, my petty side would have come out and I'd have left the flag at the side of the green.

Big Al (Alex Etches) is my guy. Always keeps it funny and light but provides great info. Also, a good friend of mine has played with him a few times and says that he is a fantastic player, too.
