YouTubers.

You really don't like guy tho 😂 up their with Rory
Nah, not at all. He's a little bit annoying when he gets himself on the screen too much, but he's ok on the podcast. I've just never seen any golf from him that screams 2 handicap - have you?? Even he himself claims to be off 4 and usually doesn't get near it.

Podcast? Is there still a blooming podcast

Just found out this exists:

Someone has calculated handicaps for a bunch of major YouTubers. Some of them are a little surprising. Bullard +2 is impressive, considering he's a footballer rather than a lifelong golfer like most of the others around him.

They have Guy Charnock off 2.1 though, which I'm highly dubious about. Not sure I've ever seen him less than 10 over - albeit on some tough courses. Maybe it's because he has big blow-out holes that get rounded down.. not sure. I'm not sure Ronan's (ForeBros) is up-to-date either, they have him on 13 but I saw a vid where he shot around 7 over on his own personal channel the other day. So I'm sure he'd be a bit lower if they'd seen that.

Iona better than Horvat right now - impressive.

I know that Riggs from barstool gets a lot of grief for saying he’s a 4 capper

Looking forward to seeing more of the oakmont YouTube day … only seen Bob does sports and they got absolutely chewed up and spat back out which is no surprise as they cover the club golfer standard well imo across three of them

Warren plays Durness 😍

Haha
I'm hoping to get to Durness on my bike early next week (lucky to have a few days off).
If there's some spare chubs around, I might have a knock.
Not as unlikely as you might think - I once stayed with a lovely old couple when cycling on Harris and the old boy leant me a set from his garage that even Crow wouldn't touch. Played Harris GC on a perfect summer's evening all on my own.

You should definitely try and play it’s stunning the last hole is a joy playing over the cliffs, I was lucky to play on a glorious summers evening.

I don’t think you should have bother getting clubs, when I played I asked to hire trolly and member was going to lend me a electric trolly from their shed, I thanked him but declined just in case I damaged it.

Professional Golf Advisor has a new vid out, quite a good fun watch. I like this content, its a different take on most other golf yt channels

I get that the narrative and behaviour is 100% ‘acting’ and that’s fine but I still swither as to how much of his golf ability is acted out and how much is genuine

Yeah I've been enjoying that channel as well. As you say, a bit different to others since he's playing a bit of a character, and I think he's funny. And how much of it is real and how much is scripted... I don't think we'll ever know, but it's fun trying to work it out.

Watched Shiels new vid where he's 'course managed' round several holes. I'm sure a lot of us club golfers would benefit following some of the messages in this

It was also good fun watching Rick get pulled up on stuff that I've said to my screen when i watch one of his break 75's & other vids :p
I've just got round to watching this last night and I thought it was great - one of the best videos Rick has put out in a long time. Not just how he played, I mean the concept of it. Scott Fawcett made a superb caddy for him! I think Rick found it very enlightening, loved how he was sort of laughing at himself as he realised how many of his decisions were wrong, as well as how much negative self-talk he normally has. His putting is absolute flames these days as well, so he needs to realise that all he has to do is hit the green!

To be honest I didn’t get it, why were prices in a South Korean shop in Japanese Yen?
No idea - wonder if they get a lot of Japanese visitors looking to buy equipment? South Korea has huge golf revenue of course, and from the video you can see there's a market there given the shops that Rick visited.

The latest forebrothers pga major is an interesting watching. Don’t normally watch them but there’s been a fair been of controversy about a ball mix up! Worth a watch for that alone!
