YouTubers.

Peter Finch just signed to Titleist

I'm surprised given how much he raved about the Ping 10k driver, and he was absolutely striping it. Will be interesting to see how the Titleist driver stacks up to that.

It seems like Titleist are really pushing into YouTube golf this year. They've already signed up Me & My Golf (poaching them from TaylorMade), and apparently one or two of the American guys as well. Horvat I think?

Not sure about Grant, but Micah Morris is now titleist. Not really a Micah fan though.

Horvat is a shareholder of Takomo, so agree, probably Morris. Seems either team up with a direct to consumer brand like Horvat/Bryan Bros, a club deal (Fryer Mizuno), or a mixed bag like Robinson, GCFC, Millsey, Takomo, Seed etc

Yeh, my first thought was the driver, he loves it. And that LAB putter. Not to mention the Taylormade qi hybrid, sure he said it’s the best club he’s ever had!

Will be interesting to see how his game’s affected. I do love titleist though so good luck to him.

I imagine when you are a staffer they’ll be able to sort him out.

His video saying 'goodbye' to his current clubs did highlight how he loves that Ping driver for sure, but with the fitting facilities now open to him, he will be just fine I'd say.

Don't think it's any big deal for the YouTubers to take the cash to play clubs for whatever companies approach them. Even if they don't particularly like the clubs or they work best for them. Once they play any semi decent golf it's enough for them.

Different stuff for a proper pro when it's your actual livelihood, they don't want to be stuck with something which just doesn't feel fully correct for them.

Iona Stephen is effectively Titleist too I think and seems to open a lot of doors for her.

Exactly. Small margins make no difference the the youtubers as it doesnt really matter how they hit it, within the differences of one club to another, so they can go to the highest bidding brand without concern for the performance of the gear itself.

Enjoyed the 1st Shiels vid since his liv sign-up. Bit like teaser content rather than what he says we'll get through the season but Rahm & Brooks were good and engaging
