YouTubers.

Looking at other channels

Good Good slightly down
Grant Horvat massively up
Bryan Bros Up
Peter Finch about the same
James Robinson about the same
Matt fryer down this year
Mark Crossfield slightly down
Danny Maude same
Golf Life down slightly

Clearly Horvat is the needle mover however although down, Shiels view numbers are greater than most of the above, most significantly

Horvat was always the best in good good so explains why him going solo worked

The English ones never been that huge

Rick broke America which is impressive for a pro out of Manchester who has basically gone from a teaching pro to a YouTube golf star

Even with his drop off on numbers he is still getting a steady high flow of views

I can't seem to get into the conveyor belt of yet another American yt influencer golf channel, playing with xyz at abc course (Bob, Grant, Good etc etc etc etc) Maybe I don't see them adding anything that i get from Sheils & Finch etc etc who've already been doing for years

For something diff I actually get way more enjoyment watching channels like Bogey Golf and more recently Professional Golf Advisor

Ive got into a random YouTube because they played at my course and then just follow him trying to break 90 around Essex. Just seeing courses I've played is interesting to me

So only one county out

But a VERY crucial difference 🤣

Agree with the ridiculously long trend. I mean, in a world where you’re always under pressure to produce more content, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t break up a 2 hour vid into multiple shorter ones. Probably something to do with advert integration though - I imagine they’re keenly aware of what earns them most.

Professional Golf Adviser is by far the best of the recent channels (to me, anyway - humour is of course very personal) - only one I’ve watched all their stuff all the way through. Even the name is hilarious given the content.

At the moment On the road with Iona is by far my favourite channel

Watched the 2 hour Rick Shiels golf vlog with the OGs (cringey saying that tbh).

Golf was watchable and I like the competitiveness but their banter is soo bad. Seriously zero chemistry between them. It feels very forced to be around one another. Makes me miss Crossfields vlogs which were full of good banter.

Rick is usual Rick. Happy at the beginning and miserable throughout. Still can’t stand Peter Finch.

Wesley would jump to Liv in a heartbeat, he’s mentioned Liv a number of times in recent videos. His PGAT career is pretty much over with the way he is playing. So a move to liv would benefit both parties. The big question is would Gorge give his part of their YouTube channel to Liv?

Would he be looking to play on LIV tour though or be part of LIV in the same way Shiels is ?

I suspect he’d want to play given the money on offer. Still plenty of time for the YouTube stuff.

Even considering his recent dip in form, he’d still be more than competitive against at least half of the current Liv field.

I’m part way through it and it’s a bit of a struggle to watch. I think that may be because of the excitement and quality of the masters set the bar much higher!

Agree and Yes I think George would.
He knows his future is producing content, not playing professional golf

Is there not some sort of media rights issues ? Hence why the LIV stuff was broadcast on the Horvat channel
No, they were smart about it—they knew Grant’s channel would attract far more views than LIV’s own YouTube channel.

I believe the next Duels episode is set to appear on Rick Shiels’ channel.

The Duels series on Grant’s channel has been a massive success, already racking up over 2 million views.
His younger audience aligns perfectly with LIV’s target demographic, so it’s a strategic win all around I would say.
