Your most ridiculous par?

The only hole we played at East Brighton on Wednesday.

Knobbed it off the tee in the fog
Knocked a 6 iron up the fairway (could not see the green)
GPS told me I had 86yrds to the middle of the green so I hit my GW into the fog (still had no idea where the green was :mmm:) and found it 4ft from the pin :D
Knocked the putt in for par

My 6th hole par 4 slightly uphill, hit a great drive to middle of fairway leaving between a 9i or pw couldn't decide so went for steady 9i. Thinned it like you couldn't believe looked away in disgust as was having a v good round until then. Mate says to turn around and the ball had stopped 6 inches from the hole! Tapped in for first ever birdie on the hole!! Then followed it with another birdie on the 7th par 3 for first ever back to back birdies!

i'll turn it round for the most ridiculous triple bogey! At the Torrance course, St Andrews i was sitting 3 feet away on a par 4 in 2. It wasn't long after the Seniors Open and the greens were like snooker tables and it was a howling gale. Anyway, missed the putt, the ball rolled OFF the green, took 2 to get it back on, then another 2 to get the bloody thing in.

lol lol thats computer game stuff

I made a par 4 on 13th at Churston Golf Club. It's a drive able par 4 of about 290 yards. First tee shot was a big slice that probably ended up in the bay. I reloaded and proceeded to knock it to ten foot and hole the putt for a 4!!

9th hole at Blue Mountain.

Drove into the pond, took a drop, shanked to the right about 100 yds out, PW onto the green took a couple of bounces and in it went.

First hole at Troon. Hit my drive miles right, cleared the dunes and on the beach.
Hit an 8 iron in the general direction of the green which somehow found a greenside bunker.
Proceeded to hole the bunker shot for a birdie. :D

Our 1st is a seriously hard starting hole. A mate of mine once made the best par I have ever seen. He nearly freshed his drive but cfaught the slightest contact and bobbled the ball 10 yards into the rough next to the tee. He then hacked a 9 iron to the fairway, still some 200+ yards from the green. He then hit a 3 wood to the front of the green and sunk a 60 ft putt for a par.

Par 5 at Patshull Park

Pushed tee shot in large bush, took unplayable.
Thinned 3 iron towards ditch that crosses fairway some 90 yards out, saved from going in by hitting small sign informing punters that a ball in the ditch is a pound in for captain's charity.
PW one bounce into hole for birdie

Our 14th is a 170yd, slightly down hill, par three. The green is adjacent to the 17th green, and there's a path and big bunker between the two. Wind was into my face as I pegged my ball up, so I grabbed a hybrid and felt ready to give it a damn good clobbering. There was a Korean four ball teeing off on the 17th at the same time. I gave the hybrid a shocking, shocking swing and the ball drilled out right towards the 17th. It came to a stop about 6 foot from the pin.

The Korean boys, fair play to them, were loving that I had joined them on their green, and all stood to one side as I lifted my ball to the nearest bit of fringe, that was no nearer the hole. I lifted a sweet lov wedge about 60 yards (bit of a thin, truth be told) and the ball nestled just a few feet from the flag. Lots of "ooh"ing and "aah"ing from the Koreans.

Knocked the putt in - easy par, onto the next. Think the golfing gods took a shot (and some) right back off me, double bogey at best.

The most ridiculous par I have ever seen was PN Wokinghams on the 1st at Blackmoor. Thought he could carry the ditch that runs across the fairway so took driver, caught it heavy and it went straight in. Dropped for a penalty and smashed a 7 iron onto the back of the green. He then canned what must have been a 40 footer for his 4. Not chuffed as I had played the hole to perfection and only walked off with a bloody half..... My most embarrassing was at Lefties gaff. Playing a fourball, I was the last to tee off. Quite a large group of guys watching. The three playing with me had all striped great drives down the middle, I stepped up and topped my drive into some crap about 50 yards off the tee. Ball was sitting quite nicely so I nailed a 5 wood up the middle. Then hit a lovely 7 iron in and canned the 20 footer for a 4. My mate, who had hit the biggest drive of all was only knocking a 9 iron in but three stabbed and walked off with a 5! Hehehehe.

easy for me, was 2 weeks ago on our 5th, massive dog leg left, decent tee shot, great approach over the trees just short of the green, duffed my 3rd into the bunker then thinned the bunker shot, 1 bounce and straight in the hole :)

I have never parred this hole before as the dogleg isnt reachable for me and I always seem to cock up the approach over the tree's (or lay up).

Par 4 at Balmore
Drive into rough
Hacked out to fairway
Fat shot to leave about 80yds
Thinned a sand ironlike an Exocet missile that was about 10 feet off the ground and went straight in without touching the ground, easy par4

Was lucky enough to be playing in the Volvo Matchplay Final last week at Vale Do Lobo and made a ridiculous birdie on I think it was the 8th of the Ocean Course. The hole is an uphill dogleg to the right par 5. I hit a massive slice off the tee that looked destined for a mansion (Typically smashed my provisional up the middle of the fairway!). When I got up the fairway I discovered it must have hit a big wall in front of the mansion to the right and it had rebounded into a bunker on the right hand side of the fairway. There were quite a few trees in front of the bunker and as the hole moved to the right the ideal shot would be a low one through the trees to give a straight forward 3rd onto the green. I decided I'd never pull it off and decided to hit out to the front of the bunker leaving me a shot over trees on the left side of the fairway to the green. Unfortuntaley I must have lifted my head when I swung as I thinned the ball straight right and it hit one of the trees and pinged right over a mound. When I got to the ball I discovered it had rolled down the mound and was sitting perfectly with around 120yds to go with the bottom of the pin not visible but a perfect line ot the flag. Then I finally put a good swing together and hit what I thought was a good shot that turned out to be a great shot a foot away from the hole and hats how I got a birdie from what should have been a reload or at least 2 or 3 shots more.

Easy one for me.

Playing a Monthly medal

300 yard par 4 incrediably narrow fairway, must be only 30 yards wide, steep hill on the left handside, hedge with various trees on the right, out of bounds over the hedge.

First tee shot a power fade over the hedge, secong tee shot just on the front edge of the green tapped in for par.

Friendly match play, 1 down on the 18th, par 5, duff my tee shot , bounces off a tree to the left and luckily doesn't go ob but lands back on the front of the tee !!! Sliced hybrid into the trees on the right and then had to play out side ways. At this point the best ball in the opposition is 20 yards short of the green in 2 and I'm 230 yards from the green in 3. I hit a pure 3 wood that ended up in the green side bunker and mate hit his 3rd through the back. I hole my bunker shot for a par and he chipped and 2 putted for bogey. Match halved !!!!

This is easy and something that I am not proud of because it was the most ridiculous par I have ever made! It was down the 1st hole at my club last year.

It's a Par 4, about 310 Yards (if I remember) and stroke index 14. To the left of the tee is the 9th hole of the 9 hole course green. This green is guarded by a bunker. My tee shot came out the heel of the club and went about 50 yards and ended up in the green side bunker of the 9th green on the 9 hole. I was left with the most horrific lie and managed to hack a PW about 30 yards. I was left with about 230 yards to centre of the green down the hill. Out came the trusty 5 wood which I stuck to about 9 foot and I held the putt. My playing partners where in absolute hysterics at the end of the hole!

Mine would have to have been at last years works society day at The Izacc Walton.

170 Yard, Par 3.

Over cooked the draw on my tee shot and ended up being a set of trees/bushes/shrubbery. Decided to open the face on my 56* wedge, proceeded to thin it a warp speed through the trees, hit the flag and dropped about a foot from the hole.

It gave may playing partners a big of a start who were on the green expecting it to drop out of the sky

Had a very funny one a few weeks back in a friendly matchplay. One down on the 17th tee, opponents both found the green (par 3) before my partner topped his into a load of cabbage. Now our 17th isn't the hardest of holes if you hit it straight...but if you don't, and go right, there is all kinds of trouble. Lots of trees, lots of thick brambles and OOB running adjacent to out academy course. I hit my tee-shot WELL right and was preparing for the worst when there was an almighty crack. My ball hit a tree trunk and pinged out and down onto the green about 3 foot from the hole. Missed the putt by a whisker but sank the return and halved the match. Plenty of chuckles during the whole thing!

From memory (and it's getting worse, so this may not be my most outrageous, but it's close!), a few years ago at Westerham, on the 9th, in the summer.

336 yard par 4, downhill with a pond about 290. Drove into the pond (1 bounce). Drop for 2. Playing my third from the rough about 50 yards from the pin, I stuck a lob wedge over the same pond to 2 foot and holed the putt.
