Your Golf Clubs Membership Renewals - How Much?!

I am not a member of a club at the moment due to Family ie young kids, so would be a waste of time paying membership as i dont get out that often but as they are getting older i hope to get out more this year and have decided to buy a membership at a nice 9 hole course not far from me and as they do different packages and the one that suits me is the bronze package £99 for unlimited play Mon-Fri Tee off before 5pm.

Not played Polkemmet for years, cracking wee 9 hole course. Love the par 3 9th finishing hole

1st post on here! I'm not a member anywhere, only been playing a year!

Word of warning about Polkemmet.....I "played" it last Sunday, it should never have been open in the 1st place , totally white with frost, struggled to find balls that I knew were on the fairway. Also it was meant to be winter greens, could only find 6 of them and 3 of them had no flags!!
Maybe its just been neglected due to time of year as its been a decent wee course in the summer months.

Anyone played Torrance Park at Newarthill? - £240 for 5 days / £340 for 7 days

575 thats including insurance.
very nice course as well prob the best of the 4 in the local area and id say in the top 10ish in cornwall.

old club was 370 a year but there is no comparison between the 2

for the money we got the 18 hole "championshp" course a little 9 hole practice thing in the hotel grounds which i never used. a massive pratctice ground area as well with a short game range a driving range and a bunker practice bit only downside is a case of take your own balls to the range

think the joining fee is being reduced, possibly to 500 - 600, not sure, there is a committee minute on the board about it, and then add on first years subs, so may be a bit less. Have you had a letter yet ?
Think ours is £820, but i've been a temp member the last 6 months and they want an £1800 joining fee to become a full member.

The £820 is good value considering the quality of the course, but just can't justify the joining fee with a baby on the way.

Pleasantly surprised by the value on offer on the East coast, may just put the 1800 towards a deposit on a flat in the kingdom...

Was there on Sunday afternoon frost all around and flags in every winter green, but i went up more as trying to map out the course with my rangefinder than wanting to play golf.

Dont know anythiing about Polkemmet, however, most courses are open these days. It's the sign of times where money is tight and they need the custome.

Welcome by the way.
