Your Clubs Diary, 2013 Competitions/Opens

I'm not on about a physical diary, more a case of the website diary so I can see that when booking in opens around the country they don't clash with board comps that I don't want to miss at my club.

If they don't change that much which seems to be the general rule, then list them on-line now!

You'd be amazed at just how long it takes to finalise a fixture list, even if most of the events are on similar days/dates as previous year. We've been working on ours for since mid Sept and it won't get finalised and published until after the AGM n Feb. It's a fine juggling act to make sure everything is included. In the main part of the season you've almost got something on every day and making sure there are no clashes is critical to everything running smoothly. When you have active Gents, Ladies and Junior sections in the club that's a lot of fixtures to fit in when you take everything into account. Club Comps, League Matches, Friendly Matches, Open Comps.

how about listing your own clubs opens and invitation days so other forum members could come and play and have an impromptu meet.

This sounds a great idea maybe a new thread/sticky in arrange a game?
