Course closed this morning... was gutted as it was the last comp off whites and I'd looked forward to it all week.

Decided to practise and play abit of sim golf. At first I thought why did I bother and it was a good job I didn't actually play today but after chatting to a mate I downloaded a swing app and watched back what was happening. Genuinely guys, I know we know it, and have been told to record our swings before but what a huge difference. Anyone struggling at the moment just have a look at what your actually doing.

I couldn't get over how outside of path my backswing was, its crazy to the point that when I felt like I was taking it back so far on the inside it still wasn't on plane.

REAL VERSUS FEEL IS REAL! Hope this helps someone the way it has helped me today.

For years I’ve struggled with a shot left knee which causes all sorts of swing issues. Winter prep will be gym work with golf once a week if it’s not hammering down, otherwise it will be an additional gym session. A session booked with the injury rehab PT Saturday so there’s a structured target.

I’m sure the additional insulation isn’t helping so that will also help the knee.

I’ll resume the golf lessons end of feb.

Right... I'm fully invested. Third attempt to completely fix my swing! I've always given up when it never worked on the course and couldn't handle hitting beauties in the lesson and on the range versus nearly missing the ball in a medal at the weekend.

Biggest difference compared to those other attempts is I can really commit to practise now as I have a "home office" wink wink with a Sim set up. yesterday I spent more hours practising than it would take for a slow weekend round and I actually enjoyed it because I filmed every swing and could keep watching back and tweaking what I was trying to do.

I'm currently at 13.1 and have always thought single was a possibility, I can play in the 70's at the moment or high 90's it really depends what swing I turn up with and I am fed up of that now. With my short game getting much better after a good bit of practise its time I sort out my bowed wrist and quick takeaway. Progress looks good so far but its early days - by the start of the season I am hoping for a nice repeatable swing, give me stick if you never hear from me again but I will be looking to commit to minimum an hour a day (6 times a week).

Lets do this 👀

Just watch your forearms/wrists. Hitting of the mats too much can lead to nasty injuries.

An hour a day 6 days a week. I applaud your dedication but personally it would drive me bonkers!
Depends.... if I was working on a swing change then an hour a day seems good as long as the practice is still structured and measured and not just bashing into a screen and seeing the data. The numbers need to be looked at to see what changes are happening and why. Is the change working or has another compensation crept in. Filming if there is rook is always a help. Just hitting into a screen an hour a day is boring and I wouldn't be doing it

Agree I would get bored pretty quick. I’ve had this setup for a year and besides playing rounds for fun I’ve not used it a-lot at all simply because I’ve not known what I am working on and when I keep tinkering trying something different I just get more annoyed.

Now I am filming everyshot and as I mentioned before I can’t get over how different the truth is. Some of the better swings I’ve looked at thinking its going to be exactly where I want and it really isn’t… its the old swing creeping in again.

Either way the improvements are evident already as my focus is on rotation and bringing back on plane. The armsy swing thats crept in recently is going away. Thought process at the moment is to keep watching back and seeing what is really happening.

On a positive note, I took the Anser PLD put on Saturday in the roll up so nothing much on the line and putted nicely with it especially from the fiddy 2-4 foot range. Took my Red two ball V-Fang mallet out which is the putter I've been using (although not my preferred model, it was the one performing best in practice) and distance control and holing out was really good on wet greens. Looks like the practice is working. Still not happy with the stroke with a blade putter but the results were encouraging enough to do some more practice this week after work

Nice 75 minutes chipping off wet lies and from deep clover and iffy lies ready for the winter conditions. Actually had a good session and felt the work is starting to pay off aside from the mental block of practice green to course. That is the issue me thinks

On the range at 6.30 this morning. Hit a general pyramid with about 5-6 balls per club, then 40 mins short game (even managed to hole out twice) working on being more fluid/relaxed, then 25 mins putting on the 'slopy' practice green. Back there tomorrow I suspect

Good work, couple of hours today - mostly on tempo making sure I make a good turn and my takeaway is on plane. Was hitting the ball well but can see the downswing will need a bit of work - not for now though as I don't want to work on too much.

Depressing 6:30am sessions aren't going to be possible soon!

Luckily 6.30am access to the course and range is pretty much year round for me 🏌️‍♂️The trouble is work gets in the way!

Just back from the driving range. 8 iron struck great, 7 wood pured, even 3 wood was pured - driver, all over the sodding place. Just stuck in this rut of 3 great drives followed by one horrific slice and repeat. I'm at my wits end and might have to go to my absolute last resort that I didn't want to do - booking a lesson. 😢

I work from home and wont be rushed off my feet this side of Christmas so almost seeing it as a sponsorship deal from the company 😉

Epic! 😂😂😂

My boss and MD are both golfers and I play a lot of work based golf. I wonder if I can swing a range session.

I can’t put GP/comp cards in during the week as the sneaky sod is tracking me on EG.

Progress. Found something....I hope will last with the short game. Slowed it right down to a very slow tick-tock. Far smoother, less dippy leg action and better connectivity. Bloody work in the way or I'd be up there now working on it

I really do admire your dedication, but what do you think it is you have found that you have not found previously? Several times I think I have read that you have found something, even just in this thread alone, where does it go?
