The fundamentals usually stay the same.
Overall, they seem to prioritise consistency. Phil talks about making 100 3-footers in a row as a drill (in the recent video w Bryson).

Now, how many club players will do this even if they were capable? Most will find it boring and stop at 10 😂

How many club players would have the time to do this. It's different if it's your job. A lot of people maybe only have 4 or 5 hours free for golf every weekend.

I do the cross putting where I set up a station in shape of a cross with tees at 3,4,5,6 feet and using one ball have to go round each station and make a putt from each one. If I miss a 3 footer I have t start gain and keep going until I have holed all four in succession and then move to 4 feet and repeat, 5 feet and repeat etc. If I miss at least I am getting a lot of repetition from various distances and I choose a hole that slopes l-r, r-l and up and downhill I am getting different reads with each putt

Consistency is what they actually strive for. They've got every shot they need in their bag. It is their job afterall, for the millions they receive in sponsorship etc i wouldn't get bored ;)

It's hardly rocket science though is it? There's a tinkerer who plays in our swindle, always trying the newest fad swing change or buying the latest gear. He changes his putter more than he changes his socks then wonders why he struggles.

There is always the one person that tries every single placebo going , every single new theory , new swing , new chipping method etc and it’s prob worse when it comes to putting - some have spent thousands on them - maybe it’s just poor technique and talent levels

See your point but it’s probably not that long. I’ve done 30 in about 10mins. My point is that causal golfers wouldn’t want to do this even if they could.

That sounds like a lot of effort for little reward, how long does that take?

Why? Seems whatever I post you argue against

It takes as long as it takes although I admit I have gotten lazy with recording how many putts per distance it takes. There is plenty of reward as it makes it pressurised in having to make 4 consecutive putts (one from each station) to progress so good from that perspective and it I do miss plenty of repetition. A very easy drill to set up and gets me use to making the important shorter ones. Just beginning to bleed onto the course

I wasnt arguing just genuinely intrested in how long it takes set up and complete. If you dont want to carry on with the discussion you can ignore my posts buddy.

Anything more than 15/20 minutes on the green is too much effort for me.

I admire anyone that practices wether a high or low handicap.
High handicappers want to get better and low want to work hard to stay low.
No different to most sports I suspect.
If you’re lucky enough to be the best you can be without practice, fair play.
If you don’t want to practice and get better,no problem.
If you do practice because you care about your game then I’m with you on that.
Enjoy your winter golf whatever you decide.

Genuine question - how do you know it’s 2*? From what I understand that’d be what a long iron has… e.g. here is Wishon’s spec - check the “sole angle”.
I ground it down myself.
It’s originally a 4* but with me altering it I’m not sure if it conforms might ask the experts.
I don’t use it in competition play though.

There are zero bounce wedges on eBay .
I was going to get one but decided to just grind one myself.
It takes some doing though.
The club head is exceptionally hard.
