• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

Who do you fancy for The Masters?

Scottie Scheffler hasn't been mentioned yet so I will go for him.

Scheffler has been in great form, seems pretty solid, has won recently so shouldn't freak out if he is in contention come Sunday.
Unless the wind blows......the 12th could be fun with a "Sawgrass" breeze...

Does it get as exposed as Sawgrass though? I do get your point but he is another of those laid back looking golfers that come out of the US. I'm not sure he carries baggage with him, although we may soon find out.

A few numbers for those who like a flutter

World Ranking
  • Only twice in the last 16 years has the winner been outside the top 30 the week before the competition: Z Johnson (56) Cabrera (69)
  • In the last ten years the winner has been Inside the top 25 the week before the competition
Form
  • In the last 12 years, 9 of the winners had at least one top 10 finish in the 3 tournaments before the Masters
Once the 3 tournaments are played I'll do the rest of the numbers. The Masters is great for each way betting, easiest comp to go for IMO.
