Why not?
I played badly this week end. 86, 88 in the 36 hole medal. That's about as bad as it normally gets. If I am spraying it about much worse than this, there will lost balls, and I've never seen the point in trying to complete a score once your not going to buffer.
What's the point? Blow your h/cap on the front nine, drop a few more on 10, 11, 12, and then lose 2 drives down 17, why continue just to post a score.
If more people n/r'd when they hit the point of no return, maybe we wouldn't be out there for 4 1/2 hours. I love it when the 3 in front have messed about lining up putts for an 11, just to try to break 100 of a ten h/cap.
Have to agree with this.
I have had bad rounds in medals, however if i'm looking at shooting double my handicap I will gladly N/R so my PP can keep their sanity. Nothing worse that playing with someone shooting double or triple handicap taking ages over a chip thinning it through the green walking round duff, duff, chip then three putts.
All this when some poor sole on a score is waiting around for them, have had this done to me and so hard to keep on your game when waiting so long and looking for balls on nearly every hole.
