Multiple Welsh Champions, men's and ladies.

A winner of the British Amateur

A very narrow bridge on the entrance road that visitors hit regularly. Local folklore says that in the days when "drinking and driving" was more common than now, the local police figured that if a member could get his car over the bridge, he was sober enough to drive home....

Jose Maria Olazabal (1983) & David Howell (1993) won the British Boys at Glenbervie.

Edit it is more famous for John Panton (3 time Ryder Cup player) being the Profesional for 30+ years.

Kedleston park- we host the Goose, scratch tournament as won by Westwood and David Lynn.
The club is on land owned by the National Trust on the Kedleston Hall Estate. As featured in Tarzan and Pride & Predjudice.
We had DJ Russell as head pro in the late 90's.
Will host Open qualifying as of next year.

Greg Norman won his first European event the Martini International, at our place in 1977.

Old Tom Morris is on record as saying he thought that Blairgowrie was the most beautiful inland green he hadever seen”

We hosted the junior Ryder cup which was a fantastic success and the best attended one to date.

The course was designed by old tom morris, despite being in watford. Not a bad name drop. Also had A J Balfour as Captain at one stage.

Originally designed by Dr Alister Mackenzie who also designed Cypress Point and Agusta National.
Gary Player and Peter Alliss are honourary members.

The Blairgowrie Golf Club were proud to have had Jessie Valentine MBE (1915–2006) as a distinguished member, and she was conferred Honorary Membership in 1968. She was inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.

Winner of the British Ladies Amateur golf championship in 1937, 1955 and 1958. In 1959 she was the first woman golfer to be awarded the MBE for services to golf; in 1967 she also received the Frank Moran Trophy for 'the Scot who has done most for the game of golf'. During the Second World War she drove a truck, and was clearly held in great esteem in the USA. So much so, in fact, that when her fiancee was captured and held as a POW, the Curtis sisters, who created golf's Curtis Cup, sent him food parcels every month.

British Ladies Amateur Golf Champion, 1937, 1955, 1958
Scottish Ladies Amateur Golf Champion 1938, 1939, 1951, 1953, 1955, 1956
New Zealand Ladies Champion 1935
French Ladies Champion 1936
Represented GB & Ireland in the Curtis Cup 7 times between 1936 and 1958

Well I cant call it 'my' club cos its a resort course not a members but Heritage GC is what I call my home/fav course

Its a European Tour venue and two years ago saw the first ever par 4 hole in one on the ET. The guy needed birdie on the 9th (his last hole) to make the cut (I was about a 80 yrds away looking down the 18th so totally missed it!)
