I am getting right into putting technique, tips etc after my lesson last week, something i hadn't really thought about was where to focus my eyes.. sounds obvious! so anyway, where do your eyes focus?

At point of strike its the top of the ball. To set up putter face alignment though its about 6" in front of the ball on my intended line

I Focus on the hole.

Try putting by focusing on the hole and not at the space between your feet - works for me :)

Not too sure, I think back of the ball for me.

I had a tip or two from a fellow player at my club recently who putts very well. Never mentioned where to focus but thanks to him I am rolling the ball better than before and keeping a better line.

the ball, then I watch the putter move back, then I start looking at the hole before I've putted............hence why I'm a crap putter...

interested to know what the Howler said

Aren't we all! Had a playing lesson recently and the pro asked me this question, I answered honestly

"I don't know"

Shocking isn't it?! He got me looking at the top right side/back of the ball, focussing on hitting upwards to get a good roll. My lag putting improved massively instantly. I'm quite sure there are more than just this way to skin this particular cat, but just focussing on something specific was a big improvement

(Hangs head in shame)

I don't know but I would guess on the logo on top of the ball as that is what I use to line the putter up. I really think very little about anything when putting. If I do find myself thinking about anything, I tend to step away and start again but that doesn't happen very often.

I look at the hole throughout the whole swing. Normally gets me on the right line and the weight is coming with practice. I love the long curlers that mean I'm looking over my shoulder.

Top of ball where I have marked my line.
i have tried to look at back of ball, but find that makes me look too much at putter, which makes makes my putts wobbly

Once I'm happy that the line on my putter is in line with the line on top of the ball - I focus right on top of the ball.
