So to admit that what I look forward most to at Christmas these days is seeing the grandchildren having a great time... Which in a round about way is an admission that I am what I've never wanted to be ...

I love the feeling that it is a time when folk (generally) at least try to be a bit nicer to each other!

We had such a brilliant time as kids (thanks Dad) that it still gives me a warm glow when I think about that time of year.

Boxing Day for me this year, as thats when I'll be having my kids. Xmas day will be spent on my own with a beer or 2.

the bro calling over with his kids (even tho they are older now)

Athmosphere i guess .. very lucky to have large extended family who all get on well together ..

I love the royal family christmas special , a new only fools & horses 1 would be good ? any comedy realy ..

I love everything about Christmas, even the cheesy Christmas tunes in Tesco's.

I drive the kids nuts when the first Coca Cola advert appears on TV.

And then on Christmas Day its pressie's and food and drink, not forgetting I put on the Christmas no.1's CD every year, and then on Boxing Day its pressie's and food and drink.

Jeez, I'm sat here getting giddy just thinking about it.

Never did enjoy sitting on Sant's knee tho'

As far as I'm concerned - and I don't care if I am Scrooge - the only 2 good bits about Xmas are watching The Boy open his pressies and a damn good dinner.
The rest of it is just an excuse to spend loads of money that we don't have on things for people we don't like

I used to love Christmas but these days I cant be bothered with it, the religeous aspect aside (and to most people it is ignored) its a time for children as I am not one any longer and dont have any its just a big over the top retailfest.

I love christmas. My wife nicky has made me a patchwork advent calander that she fill with chocolate coins so i can countdown the 25 days to christmas. I only get christmas day off from work but love the whole tv and everything
