What am i doing wrong?

Sounds very similar to my problem

My 3 and 5 wood goes pretty much as far as my driver, but its my driver that's only going as far as my fairways, if that makes sense

(I don't hit 250 yards though probably closer to 210, 220 on a good day)

I think my issue is the shaft in my driver it's very whippy and sends the ball out very high, whereas my 5 wood has a lower penetrating flight

I found the G20 driver to put a shed load of backspin on the ball when I had one.
Pretty straight but high and not hugely far.
Could just be the excess spin.
I hit my 3w as far as my driver and have for the last 5 years and my 5w isn't far behind either so your problem isn't unusual.
