Water Rates

So much for my words. A lovely lady called to explain out pipes come into our house from next doors so unless we chance our kitchen cut up for no reason, or it may be ok, then we cannot have a meter. The best they can offer is a reduced rate to £45. Which is unacceptable but it appears we have no other option . Nutz

Unlimited water for £45? Where do I sign

My metered service is £50 a month

I dread to think when the girls start showering / bathing themselves rather than sharing lol

Gonna cost me a fortune
Make sure it's showers and give them the length of a song, nothing by Led Zep 😉, to get done 😄. None of this 20 minutes each lark. Otherwise you will be working constant overtime to pay the water bills 😱

My lad has just bought a three bed Bungalow for himself, water rates for him is more than what we pay on a meter. He is on about having a meter in.

A wife, 2 teenagers, 2 power showers, 9 washing machine runs a week, 1 daily + towels and bedding for the other 2 by the wife. Water £100 a month metered

£53 last year £59 now. United Utilities! Suppose someone has to pay to remove the e-coli from Blackpool beach

Add on the 18,000 hours of untreated :poop: into Windermere in two years plus the massive dividends paid out. Plus all the other sewage leaks.

Don't forget the big leak at Fleetwood!

I remember those days although it was so long ago that it never got to that amount, in fact it was probably only after the kids had gone we went from rates based to metered.

A daughter with long hair and a short shower was just a joke according to her.

How on earth can you fill a dishwasher in a day?

Easily! We can do one and a half dishwashers a day if we are at home

5 of us. Breakfast lunch and dinner that's 15 plates or bowls

15 sets of knifes and forks

Mrs is washing up now and the dishwasher is full
