Think it's getting easy to spot when Woods back is hurting

Scoring well = back ok

Scoring badly and no chance of winning = back hurting

Think it's good news he isn't playing - that way the cameras can show all the other talented golfers on display.
A little harsh == Anyone who has played trough with an injury knows if you hi the ball well you might get away with it. If you hit the ball poorly it will hurt more depending where injury is.===The way Tiger swings this was always on the cards sooner or later his injuries will catch up with him.

it's well documented there are so many culprits doing all that and worse yet Tiger gets singled out yet again. It's getting very very boring and monotonous.

As is the defence by those who fail to understand why others do not worship him. Just because Sabbatini, for example, acts like an idiot, it does not excuse any other player doing the same, especially those like Tiger who forged an image of hard work, family values and all that other stuff which turned out to be a facade.

Tiger may one day be the winningest player in the game but he is no Jack Nicklaus.

Oh sorry, I could have sworn that someone said : "it's well documented there are so many culprits doing all that and worse yet Tiger gets singled out yet again. It's getting very very boring and monotonous."

Sounded a lot like someone excusing TW by saying that others did the same.

I can never work out how TW can polarise opinion so decisively. No middle ground. I don't like Tiger Woods the off course person for the way he has behaved but as a golfer, he is THE player of his generation. Whether he'll get to Jack's record now with the body in obvious decline is subjective and I think not but I think there is a last major hurrah left in him

I just can't wait for him to be fit and playing well again so I can imagine all of the anti-Tiger posters sitting in there arm chairs with faces like smacked arses because they have to endure live coverage of every foot step of every round of Tigers

If he had the same on and off course attitude/demeanour as Jack then breaking his record would be worthy but think there is something pure about Jack having that record and hope it is never beaten. Golf for me is a gentlemens game with all the histrionics left to football - Woods at time has acted like a footballer both on and off the field and don't think it is fitting he gets the record - ability wise though - never In question - one of the best I have seen.

Do tell how you know ? .;)

IMO ... Tiger has one record left to break in golf , Jacks , he will do what he has to do to try achieve that , Its no doubt Tigers body is hurting , Time , injury and wear and tear of practice and playing catches up with every sports star eventually

Personally I have no time for Tiger woods the man , he has showed all the traits I dont like especially arrogance, but as a golfer he is amazing and i could never see enough of Tiger playing well ,

we all talk about how nice it is to see jack , Arnie & Tom etc gracing the fairways and playing still , maybe we should stop and smell the roses and enjoy Tiger Woods the genius golfer performing for us at his peak while we can , our grandkids will only hear of the legend we get to see him ..

very few people with his sporting talent come along we should enjoy that no mater what we think of him off the course

I have no intention of using Tiger Woods as the example for my kids. I dont like him his attitude or his approach to the game at all off or on the course. He spits, swears and acts like a petulant child with a look of complete distaste for anyone that comes near him. He's had plenty of years to become the role model he should be and blown it more constantly than he hits his driver! He has no class. I cant argue with his results and he has been an amazingly successful golfer over the years there is no doubt he is a major talent. But it takes more than that in my eyes to become a legend and have iconic status. I would use him as an example how not to behave when you are successful. He has brought lots of money to the game which is why his fellow Pros support him... and the only reason. You cannot been a dissing the "great man" or the Woods "bully" machine with steam roll you! Its pathetic.
As for catching Jacks record.... Never, and I will have wager anyone to that effect. The current younger talent coming through have better all round games than him and its far to tough with all his little injury's, age and lack of a decent attitude to win the big ones. He's put loads of muscle on which is now affecting his swing which already had having major faults in it and he still hasn't got to grips with the rules after all these years!! But as its Tiger he can get away with it...we cant dq him or he wont play next year! Again, pathetic, bloody grow a pair.

RIP Tiger we need to move on from your infectious, zombie like spells you seem to have a knack of putting on most people!

No it wasn't, I can see you don't see him as a role model and I agree with you, he is a talent and did raise the standard of the game I've said that. It inst argumentative to you. You dont have to be a specialist or know him personally to understand and see what he is about. But many do think he is some sort of god and I for one don't understand that. If my kids want a golfing role model he is not even on the top 100. Its takes more than being good at something in sport to become an ICON IMO. He's a manipulator of the game on and off the course rather than a contributor and quite frankly is a nasty piece of work which some of the golfing world refuses to acknowledge. You can see them all almost bowing when he's walking around .....I'm not sure why people accept his behaviour just because its Tiger Woods....... Compare him to someone like Jack or Seve and he doesn't even come close...

Plenty of people from seves era don't have many good things to say about him either, and apparently his womanizing made tigger look like a monk.

Was jack cleaner than a clean thing? I have no idea, but if tigger had been playing back then, would we have the knowledge that we do now?

Why the need to compare him to others? What he does off the golf course is of no interest to me in the same way what Jack does\did off the course is of no interest to me. On the golf course, at his best, he is a joy to watch and entertains me. That is all I care about, in fact, it's all I ask of any sports person. Off the course, they can do what they want (within reason), I have no intention or desire to judge and I'm not about to form an opinion about someone I don't know, or their relationship with other people I don't know because a) I don't know them and b) I don't care. Turn up, play golf, play well, go home.

 so how does one do this?

If you actually studied golfers of the past, you would realise a lot of the greats have not been so clean as you have imagined.

Legends/Icons of anything not just golf, have tarnished pasts.........Don't get it twisted.

Don't wish any permanent damage to the fella, but I hope he misses the masters then packs his kit up and retires.

The tiger obsession is slightly unhealthy IMO.

I'd say your hatred towards the bloke is unhealthy... Why would you want him to have to retire when he clearly doesn't want to? Would something like this put a smile on your face? If so then you need to have a look at your own life I'm afraid...
