Well as Liverpool have one of the lowest season ticket allocations to allow for corporate, not a lot I assume.

Season Ticket Holders

They aren’t removing ST seats - they are moving them

People who has say sat close to the dug out for years with their ST are being moved to the upper echelon so that the seat can be sold as a corporate seat instead

Not good for the people being moved, but suppose it’s a business & they’re trying to get more money in 🤷‍♂️

A few Man Utd pensioners sharing there thoughts on the price increase at Utd.
Suffice to say there not happy.

Disgusted and upset' - what Man Utd fans told us

BBC Sport asked fans who follow our Manchester United club page for their thoughts on the season ticket price rises.

Diane: Got my email today with ticket price for next season. Disgusted and upset. As a pensioner, I was expecting the increase to have been 30%, 5% price increase and 25% concession. No, it equates to 60%!! I've been supporting United since 1967. This is insulting!

Victor: Ours have gone up by £346 that's an extra £18.75 per game, so much for loyalty. I've been going since 1957 and this is how they treat us.

Ian: My OAP season ticket price has increased by nearly 60%, £484 to £769. I attended by first game in 1965 whilst at school. I consider the increase is cynical. Loyalty means nothing to Ineos.

Lynda: As a pensioner my season ticket will go up by £254 a season. £15 more a match. I have been a supporter since 1960 and now I can't afford to go. Heartbroken. How can they justify punishing us the most.

Philip: As a 76 year old season ticket holder my renewal for next season is to increase by 58% from £494 to £840. I have been a ticket holder for over 25 years and have support the club since I was 12 years old but no longer. This is my last season and it's a disgrace.

Christopher: I am 82 years old. Supported since 1956. Season Ticket holder. Gone up in price from £494 to £840.75 a 70% increase. Is this fair? I think it's a disgrace. They want pensioners out that's clear.

John: I and family members will be moved from our seats near the dugouts. We have been there for 50 years. There are many older fans there. I am 81 and less mobile than I was. For 70 years I have followed United home and away, being born and raised in Salford. My ticket for my current seat would increase in price by around 75% if I were not to be moved. Depending on where we are moved to this may be my last season. The club should remember that fans like me are there through good times and bad unlike "tourist " corporate customers. I am very sad and upset by this.

Fans not happy with ticket price increases.

I'm very surprised :ROFLMAO:

No idea what the demand for season tickets at Utd is? I imagine it is very high, despite form? If fans continue to have tickets for many years, until they are pensioners, are there a higher proportion of fans paying discounted rates year on year? Are lots of younger fans not getting season tickets as the older fans keep hold of them longer? All questions I don't know the answer to.

But, getting a season ticket for under £500 seems an absolute steal to me, if demand was very high. Even the significantly increases prices seem good to me, to a person where Man Utd is their passion. But, I admit, I've nothing to compare that to, so just my instinct

Not really a lot different to clubs like Liverpool limiting season tickets to sell to Scandinavians or corporate really though is it.

No doubt there will be unhappy punters at Everton when we move as well.

Again you are missing the point

They are moving people who have sat in the same seat for years to allow them to sell that same seat to someone else for more

Every club is slowly but surely doing this. Money ruining the game again. Why give discounts when demand can fill a seat for full price.

Just seems to be life now days

Won't be long before golf clubs don't offer reduce rates for juniors or seniors

I think what is forgotten is that these fans that are/ were getting “ discounted rates” have supported this club when they were struggling to fill old Trafford. Some going back to the 50’s and 60’s before the current crop of young fans were born.

I really don’t think he is missing the point Phil.
Clubs don’t give a 💩 about the fans,it’s all about ££££££.
Liverpool could make more season tickets available to local fans, but they don’t.
Again it’s all about the £££

Worth it for both clubs. Not worth it only for the buying club only.

In regards to Maguire, do we genuinely know the exact reason WHY he didn't go to West Ham? There seems to be an assumption by some that it was only because Utd would not pay of Maguire's contract, and if they had he'd be gone like a shot. But, is that assumption not arrogance in itself, that Maguire would definitely want to go to West Ham if his contract was paid up?

The only thing I can find is that Maguire and Utd discussed his future, Maguire decided he wanted to stay and fight for his place and Utd respected his decision. Money may not be the only reason he didn't go. He's a northern lad, 30 years old and been at Utd since 2019, got married and his kids were around 4/5 years old I believe. Would it be fair to say that a footballer who had already passed his peak, at his maximum earning potential, may not want to move down to London just as his kids were starting school and at a settled home? If he was 18 years old and needed to find a club to get playing time, I get it. But a 30 year old, settled family man, who still believes he can get into the Man Utd side may be less inclined to want to leave.
Your post makes so much sense.

It really irks me how some on here think they know how a club, player or manager thinks.

I'm sure there are always perfectly good reasons but some on here think they know all the answers.

People tend to believe anything they read if they like it or if it fits a narrative.
If they don’t like it it’s just regarded as gossip or paper talk.

I bet this wasn't forgotten. For the people that decided to increase the price, I'm sure they are aware of the impact it would have, how it looks in the media, etc. I'm certain they had no motivation to upset fans either.

But, I'm also sure there are so many people that would dream of having a ticket for the club, who would pay market prices, who would support the club for the next 40 years. But, it is impossible for them to get a ticket at even £1000, while there are others paying less than £500.

It's a balancing act, I know. I've no idea if the concessions were already remarkably generous, or equivalent to what all the "top" Premier League clubs have done?

Seeing rumours on Twitter that Darwin Nunez may be moving from Liverpool to Atletico Madrid in the summer.

Can't seem to find much detail on this at the moment. Anyone know how much Liverpool are going to pay them?

😂

Seen a few reports of around £40-50mil

With the club apparently being interested in Alvarez then maybe a deal can be done 😂

He would prob thrive over there

In all seriousness, it seems like one of those scenarios where it just hasn't worked for him at Liverpool and he just needs a fresh start elsewhere.

Yeah no doubt at all

Still think there is a player there and at times he has given us some big goals but just never consistently and also missed some horrors - fans love him for his heart and desire though but he will move on this summer

Think he needs to go. One of those that needs five chances to score one. A different system and fresh start and he could develop into a big player
