@Arthur Wedge we have Doucoure and Gueye who fast. They've talked about it previously and on the whole they / the club have managed things without any noticeable drop off in form. Saying that, players are individuals and what might affect one may not affect another.

What does surprise me, if Salah is affected, even by 5%, then the club need to manage that and sub him, use other players etc. They don't seem to do that too well.

It’s a valid point

When I looked back I could see that under Klopp he was subbed a few more times than normally

Guess with the last 3 games the manager has been reluctant to either not start him or bring him off - it’s something that Slot imo needs to learn from

I suppose it’s hard to sub him when it’d be Nunez coming on 😬

I hope you can see the hilarious irony in that comment. Clubs have been having United’s pants down for at least 20 years whenever we’re interested in a player.

Whilst recently the club have paid over the odds because those in charge of transfer negotiations have been inept, for years United have paid a premium because selling clubs knew we’d pay top dollar.

Take the blinkers off.

Clubs indeed have I'm not saying they haven't been in terms of purchases but in terms of sales?

Why should other clubs have to fund your bad running. You say so yourself it's poor. Why should any club have to fund the "united tax"

Same with rashford. If you want him gone it's gonna have to be worth it

Worth it for both clubs. Not worth it only for the buying club only.

In regards to Maguire, do we genuinely know the exact reason WHY he didn't go to West Ham? There seems to be an assumption by some that it was only because Utd would not pay of Maguire's contract, and if they had he'd be gone like a shot. But, is that assumption not arrogance in itself, that Maguire would definitely want to go to West Ham if his contract was paid up?

The only thing I can find is that Maguire and Utd discussed his future, Maguire decided he wanted to stay and fight for his place and Utd respected his decision. Money may not be the only reason he didn't go. He's a northern lad, 30 years old and been at Utd since 2019, got married and his kids were around 4/5 years old I believe. Would it be fair to say that a footballer who had already passed his peak, at his maximum earning potential, may not want to move down to London just as his kids were starting school and at a settled home? If he was 18 years old and needed to find a club to get playing time, I get it. But a 30 year old, settled family man, who still believes he can get into the Man Utd side may be less inclined to want to leave.

Every club will always look to get the most they can when selling a player

The “smaller” clubs have always hiked up the price when a “bigger” club comes calling for their players

Why would any club sell a player on the cheap

Because he left Salah on for 90+30 +pens .

If he’s struggling with fasting that seems like a strange decision!

One thing I've never understood with fasting (probably because it's not my faith) is if someone breaks the fast for no good reason (as the term is called) they have to pay a fine.. which is to feed one poor person

Considering how much stress football (and all sports) put on the body I am surprised a few players don't take the option to right let's pay the fine just for match day.

See the logic but that’s not really how faith works!

Salah has become similar to Ronaldo at Real Madrid. Ronaldo matured and realised he didn't need to be running up and down the wing, taking people on all game. He used his head to spot weaknesses and made runs at the right time. That combined with his abilty to finish netted him 40 odd goal a season. Salah has done the same, except he's more creative. He's not on Ronaldo's level finishing wise but he's matured into the most effective attacker in the league.

He's allowed a few off games given his season, just a shame for Liverpool they've come recently in some of the biggest games. When he doesn't turn up the drop off in quality is huge on that side. On the left Liverpool probably have too much quality.

That’s, eh, quite the error…

I don’t suppose there is a right way or wrong way you would respond to this 😖
