Taylor refereed Forest v Newcastle last season.

Here is what the popular Toon website NUFC.COM had to say about him after last years match (3-2 to the Toon)

Taylor's display bordered on the absurd at times; purposely allowing blatant fouls to go unchecked and turned the blindest of eyes to the continual thuggery of Ryan Yates, who would have been lucky to stay on the field under some officials but here barely conceded a free kick, never mind seeing a card of any colour.

Seems like we don't like him either!!:D

Expect chants of “Anthony Taylor, you’re s*** every week” to ring out around the City Ground, with both sets of fans joining in. Which was exactly what happened at the Forest v Brighton game last season! 🤣

How long should they be demoted for ?

What happens when a player makes a mistake ? Drop them for weeks ?

The refs know they are assessed - if they don’t follow the laws they will face consequences
You are wasting your time talking to those 2, their posts are absolutely bonkers, they show everything wrong with the wrong type of football fan. Always someone else's fault as long as it's against their club, not interested in their own weaknesses and mistakes and go on and on and on and on and on about it even when it's happening to everyone and some more than others.

It's like talking to bigoted people who never think they are wrong

As a Newcastle fan, what would you say if I mentioned the name Trelford Mills and his refereeing of a game in the early 80s? I used to play cricket with him and his son in Barnsley and he said he was never welcomed back in Newcastle.

Maybe you could give us a lesson in tact and diplomacy. You seem to have it nailed. 😎

Another one who must be super fun at parties, crickey 😅

This is literally the point btw.

It continues to happen and get worse every week across the league and we are, as fans, expected to just put up with it and nothing seems to be done to address the issues which are league wide. That’s my frustration, personally. I spend upwards of £100 every time I go to the football, by the time I’ve driven the 300 mile round trip and paid for my ticket and food/drink (luckily parking is free as my sister lives across Trent bridge 😇)…it’s a lot of money to have to make do with poor standards of refereeing in “the best league in the world”.

(also, In case it’s not obvious, most of my posts are laced with a tinge of sarcasm, which I think most seem to understand. But just for future reference, maybe lighten up a bit :))

Other clubs have made suggestions about bias.

Are Wolves expecting a fine for these comments by Gary O’Neil?

He has been “contacted”. Whats the latest on this? Anyone know?

Got told not to say anything like that again. Doesn't sound like they said he's wrong 🤣

Discussion that was being had today;

Is the class of 2022, the best group of teams to ever be promoted to the Premier League?

There’s probably an argument for it.

All 3 have stayed up since promotion And all 3 are currently in the top half of the table in their 3rd season.

Trying to think of another group of teams who have all been promoted, stayed up and end up competing for spots in the top half of the table

No spectacle at Anfield. Snuffed each other out.
We’re to slow getting the ball forward.
To many back and sideways passes.

Don’t get Diaz at CF.

They look like a good side though.

Again the good lads at NUFC.COM met Mills when he was doing hospitality at Barnsley and he was game enough to put on a Newcastle shirt for a photo....at least he seems to have a sense of humour.

Think he also disallowed a stonewall penalty as well.
