Seems like a very odd gamble when they play so many games. Pep seems to do this every so often, tries to be too clever. No they bought another wide forward so if Haaland does have any issues then tough to see who comes in

If there is anything I've learnt being a Man Utd fan over the last year, injuries are absolutely no excuse for having poor results. Every club have them, and they impact on all 20 clubs in the Premier League in an absolutely equal way at all times. I think that was the suggestion anywayI wasn't looking forward to playing city at home this weekend coming but latest results are very encouraging for Brighton, that and the injury problems city have ,could be a three point won weekend.
They won a league title without a striker 2/3 seasons ago, Pep doesnt have to try to be clever, he has proven he's clever.Seems like a very odd gamble when they play so many games. Pep seems to do this every so often, tries to be too clever.

They did although having sold Alvarez it's looking more like City being as close to a one man team than they ever have done. Haaland's recent goal drought coincides with their last three, poor, results with no one else in the team stepping up.
Wouldn't call him a striker personally. Not at that level anyway, nowhere near enough goals. He's a winger who sometimes plays false nine. He's as much a striker as Rashford is.They have always had either Aguero or Jesus until Haaland
21/22 was when they just had Jesus

21/22 season. They had Jesus but he wasnt always in their starting 11 if i remember correctly. When was that ?
According to TransferMarkt:21/22 season. They had Jesus but he wasnt always in their starting 11 if i remember correctly.
He played 28 games in the Prem and over 40 games overall21/22 season. They had Jesus but he wasnt always in their starting 11 if i remember correctly.
So would you agree that City won a league title without a striker?According to TransferMarkt:
Squad: 34, Starting eleven: 21, Substituted in: 7, On the bench: 6.
That's Prem Only. In terms of positions played, for all comps it was 23 times up front, 15 times right wing, 2 on the left.
So as above, wouldn't consider him a real striker.
Yes i realise my recollection was infact wrong, I did actually edit this post just not quick enough. He played 28 games in the Prem and over 40 games overall

Yes, of course. I was agreeing all along. So would you agree that City won a league title without a striker?
Foden played up front 19 times that season, more than any other position, so he must be a striker as well.He is a striker , that’s where he wants to play and where he has played a lot - he was in the front line for City and Arsenal and Brazil
He may not be prolific etc or along the same lines as Aguero or Haaland but he is still a forward-striker , etc etc
He can play through the middle as well as wide and deepFoden played up front 19 times that season, more than any other position, so he must be a striker as well.
Calling Jesus a striker is like calling Trent a midfielder.
