Well, it's almost the end of August.
The club knock-outs are approaching their final stages and golfers all round the country are reflecting on what might have been and some basking in the glory of being club champ and so on.
But is it really over?
No no no no no
If your competitive juices are still flowing, try this site.

There's loads more golf to be played yet :)

Put my last card in on August 5th, more than 3 weeks ago.
Good chance that's probably it for me this season, shoulder isn't strong enough. Could play on it reasonably until 4th August and I tore it again, managed to play on 5th with a shoulder strap but shouldn't have.
Season has been a dead loss really. 3 good cards out of about 20. Only played one new course at Castle Stuart. Have not played any Opens this year.
Roll on 2011, injury free by then hopefully.

My season ended when I fell out of the roof. Won't really be fully fit for the rest of this year, so won't be putting any more cards in. Not really playing much anyway, as I need to get as much done in my house as possible before moving back in in late September.

I guess I will have to make my assault on single figures next year.

Still a few open comps to go for me all at links courses. Got my main goal for the season which was to get down to single fig. Plus I got picked to represent Tain against Royal Dornoch on Saturday, so looking forward to that. Don’t mind if its windy, just hope its not p*ssing down.

Season still going strong for me. Got the CC the weekend after next, plus our Masters comp then a variety of medals/stablefords.

Single figures will be mine.........before Murph.........Mwahahahahahaha!!! :D

Still some life in my season.

League champ decider (inter club 4somes) next week
2nd to last county OOM event the day after
54 hole pro am around Pyle, Machynys & Ashburnham in a couple of weeks
36 hole mid am @ Liphook at end of next month
Last OOM event in October and a pro am @ Burnham & Berrow.

I started the season on single figures. I just happen to have mislaid them for a while.

Playing an Open @ Cleveland GC tomorrow, Semi Final of knockout on Tuesday, Medal next Sat, and then at least 6 more comps before end of October,

who says the season is finished ?

im in no comps but i hate it when i cannot go golf after work :-( dark at 8ish now so for about 1 months tops all i can manage is 1to14 wont be long til 9 holes then just weekends :-(

Couple of months left for me.

Club Champs 4th\5th Sept next. Then 2 more weekend medals and 2 more trophys and finally the cup winners\consolation cup on the 30th Oct.

Total of 20 qualifying weekend comps this year.

Acheived my goal to get to 16. Now trying to see if I can get myself to 12 before the season is over.

We go all the way through to the end of November for comps then they start again in March so still 3 whole months to go.
Could make 8 or lower - got time to make it back to 10 too...

No competitions for me ,but will be playing the yorkshire
coast for a week in september.Im realley looking forward to
it because Ive been playing well, hope we get some decent
weather..

We have comps all the way through the year (snow permitting) and I've still got the Masters (comp winners over the last 12 months only - 36 holes medal), the Longhurst Cup (2 rounds over any 3 days of the bank holiday and another major) and the winter league once I audition a few new partners.

End of season? No such thing in my book. Our comps go right through the year and I tend to play better when the course is softer so I'm still hoping for single figures before the years out.

Not sure what I'd do if I couldn't play comps through the winter.

No end of season at our club. Started on 9 at the beginning of the year with a target to get to 5. Made it to 7.0 then had some lessons and went back to 9 :(

Made the regional final of the HDID singles knockout. If I win that, then its the UK national finals where qualification gets a 7 day all expense trip to the Algarve to play 5 rounds to decide the winner :D

Game is slowly coming back after the swing rebuild and I'm feeling positive. :D

Another couple of months to go before out competitive season comes to an end. I like to play throught the winter in our more sociable winter knockout comps and will try to play in one or two other 'fun' comps, but last winter was a white out so I do hope we don't see that again. We don't have any counting comps over the winter as the weather can play havoc with our course and leave some parts very wet and muddy.

Oh to be able to play down the coast like Thommo
