I don’t know what made Samson POM over Bethell, other than being on the winning team. He didn’t really do anything extra behind the stumps and Bethell had a run out. Home team advantage I guess.

‘traditionally’ it always favours the batsman from the winning team. Bowlers only get it if they have 5er. TBH I think the Bhumra 17th over killed it for England and big turning point
I m sure the Kiwis would have noted that Indian bowling is not great and I think India has never won at the stadium of the finals venue. So smart money on Kiwis. (Also Kiwis won a series in India recently)

Hard to see if they have a balanced view after being dropped but if there is no contact at all it shows poor management. If they are out, with no chance of a recall they should be told, same as if they are told to go back to their county and if they score well they will be reconsidered.

This is staggering. I knew our centrally contracted guys didn’t play a lot of first class cricket but this is just plain daft.

We all know the ECB don’t care about the county game and mainly any county that doesn’t have a test ground

Edit - to add there are a good number of players in the county game that will never be given a chance because a selector will never watch them

Buttler has scored nearly as many runs in his first IPL game this season as he did in the whole of the recent T20 World Cup. Wonder if they train differently in India than they do with England?
