I think if they had 4 groups of 4 in the first round, instead of 4 groups of 5, it would have been perfect.

It’s good to have some minnows capable of causing an upset eg Zimbabwe. But what did Canada and Namibia bring to the tournament?
But if they never play the big teams, are they ever going to bring anything to the tournaments? They will only get better by playing the established teams and World Cips is the only chance they get.

If you follow that argument then they might as well have 48 teams in the tournament, like the football World Cup.

I thought 16 teams would give some scope for the stronger minnows to qualify and face the big guns.

India v Eng in Mumbai is going to be a run fest... short boundaries and a breeze that floats across the pitch. Should be even stevens... Eng on the up after early scares, while India dusts off a dip to come back..
Not going to miss Aus, i think the final 4 are the interesting one. Ind/Eng will be more tightly fought than SA/NZ.
I should find a bar in London to watch it..

Shame England not brave enough to stick with Ahmed
I think he should only be in the side as a batsman at the moment, he doesn't have enough control to be bowling at the Indians. In for Salt or Buttler may have been an option, but not sure who would go behind the stumps if not Buttler.

Less than an over bowled in this game and I already have the TV on mute.

Those awful pillocks trying to gee the crowd up by bellowing into microphones, especially the woman, are just too painful to listen to.

It’s painful

It’s always the same droning nice

That’s a good wicket to grab though

Samson the one to get early though
