Great to see us win the first ODI by 49 runs, can't wait for the next one tomorrow!
The coverage is dreadful, only half of them are in Australia. It makes you realise how good Sky are with their coverage. TNT should have just used the host broadcaster. It would be great listening to the Aussie commentary if we win.I would have loved to have watched it ,but it's on tnt and not sky .
Is it not quite common now to have some of the team in the UK, some on site? Keeps costs down, makes it easier for pundits who don't want to be away from their families for long periods of time. The coverage is dreadful, only half of them are in Australia. The whole range of stats for day one are breaking records. Most notably, the negative ones for Steve Smith. Long may those, in particular, continue.
Love seeing England with an attack which hits the deck hard. The decision to pension Jimmy Anderson off all makes sense after that first day which, frankly, took Australia completely by surprise.

Is this the same pitch ? We r back to FarceBall. Just short balls - even though the prev 2 of the same were dispatched to the boundariesEngland love to have their foot on an opponents throat and then somehow end up kicking themselves in the head
Scathing attack by Sir Geoffrey
I think players of that generation will always struggle with how England play when they lose in that fashion. Can't say that I disagree with them to be honest, it was a poor example of test match batting imo. Too many players don't value their wickets but that isn't seen as a negative any moreShame Bob Willis isn’t around his verdict show would have been superb viewing
