The Cricket Thread

Saw the highlights of the 14 yrs old inning… madness and talent. He rode his luck but had the audacity to smack the likes of Siraj and Rashid Khan to all parts.

Good to see Tongue back but you have to wonder what effect the injuries will have had

First day of the test summer in England.

Its overcast and it is at Trent Bridge. I think Zimbabwe need to win the toss and bowl for this test to make it to late in the 3rd day......

I am also looking forward to the World Test Championship Final at Lords in a few weeks time!

World Test Championship is, quite frankly, a joke.

South Africa qualify for the final having played only 12 Tests throughout the two year qualification period and apart from one result against India didn't beat anyone else of any note.

To suggest that they are one of the two best Test sides in world cricket is laughable.

Test match cricket is naff. The Hundred is where it's all at.

Yes my irony meter was off the scale there.

Played to the format and made it to the final. I do wish we played more of it because I LOVE test cricket.

but then again.....Spurs won a trophy last night and they are laughable too. Hope they enjoy their parade!

South Africa are ranked 3rd in the ICC ratings so they are not that bad. Aussies are number 1 and England in 2nd.

India are guff away from home. New Zealand are solid but ageing. The rest are very hit and miss.

They really need to sort out the over rates in test cricket - 13 overs in the first hour today is shocking! What are they doing between balls/overs?
