The best courses you played in 2013?

Royal Troon. Not only the best course, but the ambiance of the clubhouse, quality of food and overall experience put this head and shoulders above any other I played this year.

I think Bowood and West Hill for me.

Surprise package for me was Rye Hill with Imurg, Fundy and FT. For the money, it was fantastic!! Well in fact it was that cheap, fundy was in the chair via groupon! it cost me a round of drinks! Will 100% go back there in the summer!

I played Real Sotagrande in 1997 and absolutely loved it! Unfortunatley have never made it back. Cost £60 quid back then, hate to think what the green fees are now.

My two stand out courses for this year are The Monument Course at Troon North GC Scottsdale closely followed by Quintero GC also in Arizona - both magnificent (me and my mates treated ourselves to 8 days golf in Arizona for our 40th birthdays)

My top 6 would be...

1. Disney Palm, Orlando Florida.
2. Mongomerie Course, Carton House, Co. Kildare.
3. Galgorm Castle, Co. Antrim.
4. Erskine GC, Renfrewshire.
5. O'Meara Course, Carton House, Co. Kildare.
6. Moyola Park GC, Co. Londonderry.

All great courses.

Must admit to preferring the O Meara over the Montgomery at Carton ,, Keep Druids Glen in mind if you down this far again .. excellent course ..

Conra Wood - County Monaghan

My Home Course - Kirkistown

Have to play Concra , heard only good things about ..

Thing i remember most of Kirkistown is the hole with the realy elevated green . we brought up wedge (in case) , putter. and driver for next hole , and left the rest at the bottom of the hill ..

totally forgot Centurian Club! Doh! One of the best new courses of this millennium - and a great club. It will only get better and better over the years - the team has a vision and it will be nice to see the progress over time

My first course (aged 8) years ago, my hometown and where my old man still plays - Whitby Golf Club.

Me and the old man came 2nd in the Invitational there this year, loved it. Golf by the sea and few trees, perfect.

And just to throw a 9 holer into the mix,

Traigh ............ up in the West Highlands. Views you couldn't imagine!

Slime.

Moortown
West Hill
The Centurion
Royal Porthcawl
Wallasey
Formby

Ask me tomorrow and I'd probably mix them up differently, great courses.
