You're welcome, a bit of balance is always useful.
Nothing wrong with differing opinions, surely.

Not at all.
Now you have taken the plunge do you find that charging is really not the issue you thought it might be?
I mean I questioned it when i first switch, I still to date have never used a public charger
I'm going to have to in may , quiet excited
What kind of speeds are you referring to?When I had the loan car it came without a charger . Found a CCS charger next to the golf course. Pleasantly surprised with the ease , speed and cost. Although others in the local supermarket were often not working.
One long trip to date and realised how often I need to charge when doing constant high speeds (distance was around half of that quoted on board). Now I know that I can plan my trip accordingly having noted where there are CCS chargers on my journey. They are in places where I normally have a comfort break and a coffee anyway.
Not EV related but I was checking out one Tesco supermarket in Slough that has chargers and nearly ended up with a parking ticket for not realising that it required checking in/out with a minimum spend, not something we get where I live.
What kind of speeds are you referring to?
Surely not motorway speeds when on a motorway.
My journey is dual carriageway A303, M3 a few detours to avoid the worst bits of the M25, A414 dual carriageway.
Or A303, M3 A34 M4 (now they have got rid of the long section 50MPH limit)
The times at which I normally travel 70mph is easily attained and sustained.
hence the avoidance of certain sections of the M25
Although there have been many times in the past on the M3 and M25 it has been 0-20mph
a solution for all these EV issues!!
Range Rover Sport SV review | Auto Express
The Range Rover Sport SV offers stunning pace, while retaining the standard car's impressive levels of comfort and off-road abilitywww.autoexpress.co.uk
Not on your Nelly.
I'd rather buy the Tesla model 3 performance which is faster than that Land Rover.
In fact I could buy 4 Tesla model 3 performance and keep the £3k change.
Depends which EV you have. The niro is good on motorway as are Tesla
If you stick to 60 in all EV you get much better efficiency. As with all cars tho.
Not trying to be awkward, but who wants to drive a car at 60mph on a motorway?
For me, the point of a motorway is to cover long distances in as little time as sensibly possible.
When I visit my mum it's a 4 hour drive. That's enough, I don't want it to become a 4 1/2 or 4 3/4 hour drive. If I'm on a motorway I'm doing 70 when possible. There are no roses to smell on a motorway, I just want to get to where I'm going.
No, but that wasn't the point was it? You questioned why people are in a rush, drive slower, extra time doesn't matter. Time matters to lots of people. Opposite to me, my mum will make the reverse journey last a full day. She is happy to tootle, stop off at villages en route etc. That would drive me madThat's why if you drive long distance you pick an EV to suit
For example would you go up and down your mum's at 70 in a Toyota Aygo?
