Have to admit If I did long trips on a weekly basis I would be buying a Tesla

I mean their supercharger network is what the charge network should be

Card linked to car .

Sat nav maps out charges on route, very fast charging speeds so only stop for a short time

Plug and play so when your there it's not an app it just knows this is your car and then bills the card

Seemless

I know one thing that put me off a bit before buying mine was sitting in my car opposite all the rows of Tesla superchargers at South Mimms service on the first Friday of the school holidays and seeing every single charger in use.

Now you have taken the plunge do you find that charging is really not the issue you thought it might be?

I mean I questioned it when i first switch, I still to date have never used a public charger

I'm going to have to in may , quiet excited

I have stopped messing about various charging option. Since Feb 1st, have been religiously charging at home every night. I also charge it to 85% (not sure why) on my 7k. The car has also been used more than the ICE one.
The charging is exclusively on cheap octopus 0.07p

In Feb (as of 16th):
Total distance traveled: 124 miles
Total charging: 236kwH
Cost to charge @0.07p: c£16.5

I think this is what most people thought the charge network would be like.( given the Gov are banning new ice cars soon)

But reading some stories on here and in the media if you havnt got a Tesla it’s a bit of a lottery.

This must put people off if they can’t charge at home.

I appreciate some are exaggerated but they can’t all be wrong.

Some serious investment needs doing.

Yeah that doesn't make sense that would have it at 0.5 miles per kWh

I'd be returning the car ..

I'm averaging 4 miles per kWh ATM

You should be getting at least 2.5
I think i get about 2 per KWH... that is based on my observation.. The App is made by same guys who made the NHS Track & Trace.. :)

Funnily, it says that the car needs an Over the air update... I dare not try to do that at work - what if it bricks the car.

That app is awful, what's your charger saying you have actually put into the car in terms of kWh?

Because if you were getting 2 per kWh you would have only used 62 KW at a cost of £4.50

My Project EV charger app is competing with the Car App to be the worst App of the year. Does not provide any logs.

Over air updates won't brick your car. Their minor things

I did one other week at work

For example why I think your app is a bit off I did a 50 mile round trip to work and used 15% battery

That's 9.72 KW , 87p at 9p a unit and when I move to intelligent it will be 72p at 7.5p a unit

Not bad for a trip to work

That's cheaper than the Corsa was

Tesla nothing. The are the king of long drive

Put the destination on the sat nav and it will map the charges on their super chargers . Their network is outstanding
Not really.

I know that. My point is how long we have to stop, how many times etc.
My diesel will do the entire round trip on less than a tankful.
Diesels, King of the long drive. (y)
