Tell the truth about your driver distances....

Carry to about 170 but I can usually talk it into a roll-out of around 260-280 so I can see where some can get their distances on a freshly manured fairway! :D

I carried one 193 yards today - how do I know?

It pitched in a bloody bunker that's how......

Thought I'd caught it better but obviously not.

I usually look to carry a drive between 260-280. Not bravado, I'm just relatively young and a little on the chunky side. Can probably be verified by the way I lashed at it in the Taylor Made fittings and the shafts I ended up with as a result (and the wedge I knocked onto the second at Wentworth in t'same videos)

That said, my short game isn't as good as it should be, hence hovering around the 7.5 mark, rather than the 4.5 one.

Yeah....bloody gorilla! He knocked one into a hazard at Hayling that is 310 from the tee. In winter. Into a slight breeze. I told him it wasn't in play

Misinformation from the Dorset team - bloody bad sports!!!!

At that stage, I was fed up with Swinger playing so safe all the time!!!! ;)

Recently buying a Garmin was a bit humbling but I've clocked a few at over 300yards on albeit dry fairways. Would normally expect about 260 carry and some roll depending on traj and fairways.

My name is James, I can hit drives ranging from 220yds - 285yds depending on the swing and ball flight. I can find the middle of the fairway (sometimes) and I can carve them into the tree (sometimes). 300yrd drives are fast becoming a thing of the past for me

Getting old!

My name isn't James but the distances are about the same for a driver followed by a wedge...

270 carry on a warm calm day

overall distance will be a function of so many things it's almost an irrelevant statistic. Also when you get conditions as we have at the moment I'm rarely hitting a driver, or even a 3W; today a 3H was going about 230-250 depending on the landing and breeze.

Hit a drive on a 311yd Par 4 today. One of the straightest I've hit for a while. Left me with a half 52* LW. Reckon it was around 255yds inc roll-out.

On the rubbish 'fairway' at the range I generally seem to hit 220-230yrds.

On a flat fairway off a level tee, in summer, I can and often do hit over 300yrds. We only have 2 fairway that are flat and I regularly hit it out to 310yrds (End of the fairways), I carry the ball 260-280yrds dependent on strike, this is verified by hazards that need a carry off 260yrds off the blues that I can just about clear with a solid strike.

PB since measuring on the S3 is 312 YRDS but my drives can range from 240-280 total distance with the shot I hoped to hit, not average as the word average doesn't work for amatures with our inconsistency. I never really duff a drive though so my average probably isn't that bad.

According to a recent trackman session I usually get between 260-280 and occasionally longer. According to real life experience it can be 100 yards or 300 yards equally likely to be 2 fairways over at either length!
