Hi, my name's Adam and my driver pitches at approx 235 yrds with little roll out, due to me putting the ball into orbit more often than not.

Wuuusah.

If I hit it straight, it will average about 230-240 yards.

I have once managed to hit one a shade over 300 yards, but it was a warm day, with plenty of roll very slightly down hill and what I would consider my "best ever" drive

with some of the "casual BS" I've read since becoming a forumite I thought I'd give people a chance to be honest....

Ah, you do know what you've started  Personally, I don't know mine. When I was fitted last January average carry was between 220 & 225.

You have no idea what you have just started do you ;)
How many pages do you think this thread will get too? :) It all depends on the course you are playing as to how far you drive the ball. I hit the driver anywhere between 220-270 but it all depends on the conditions! Now that is been honest!

I posted this on the Mizuno MP-s ball thread (Review section)

I played in a works society day with the usual prizes (Longest Drive, Nearest the pin and nearest te pin in 2). I won longest drive, on a flat fairway, with tee shot of 269 yards that was GPS verified.

I've had quite a few lessons of late with a view to get me swinging more from the inside. To this end I'm hitting a draw now instead of a fade. My ball flight is a tad lower than it was, not by much, but enough to get more roll.

I have no idea about carry distance mind you.

There was a par 3 on the same course that plays 180 yards from the yellows. GPS showed 165 to the front. I took a 6 iron and ended up landing the ball on the front edge, and running straight through the green to the fringe out the back. Greens were bone hard yesterday so I'm not surprised if I'm honest.

It would be interesting to see what some of the bigger hitters like Pieman and Swinger hit, however I don't think they have a GPS that measures in miles :D

I have no idea. Not a Scooby. It's not something I worry about, and currently am driving like an idiot. It was ok on the practice ground yesterday though. Will it last though?

I have a strong 3w on order, to give me another option off the tee, and just to please bobmac, I've taken a wedge out of the bag.

Just measured two of mine today. First was 250 carry with 30 roll out hitting a slight up slope. Second was 260 carry with 40 roll out hitting a flat fairway which is solid. I don't know how accurate the yardages are on Google earth but I have regularly hit our 3rd green which is 303 yards on a laser finder to the middle.
