Sunningdale Curry

I thought this thread was for the evening before sunningdale?

I thought this thread was for the evening before sunningdale?

Dave couldn't follow that through and I'm not down the day before so as I've stated, and rather than start another thread, this is for AFTER Sunningdale on Thursday night.

That's what i had planned.

Not sure i'll want a curry after two feeds and 36 holes......

2 feeds? Obviously there's something on the turn but I wasn't aware there is a meal afterwards at Sunningdale?

I'm not sure if fish changed his mind but E & O is a Chinese restaurant, a pretty good one too. There is a half decent curry house just over the road though.

I've used the curryhouse in Woking and a few of us weren't impressed, so I've gone for a Chinese/Thai/ Malaysian restaurant which is lighter than a curry and looks excellent.

Very good choice, the food in there is excellent. The Eastern Oriental is actually little outside Woking and has a curry house about a minute away that's good. You won't be disappointed with the Eastern Oriental though 👍

Well done for picking up the baton, Robin.

As you've said elsewhere, depends on what afternoon tea and bucksfizz includes. Maybe Chellie and Karen will whip their skirts off for us........;)

If not substantial. i'll be up for a curry.

At a guess I would imagine it would be after 10pm seatnig for those that can still walk, we have 66 playing in 3 balls? starting at 2pm should see the last group off around 4.30pm with 22 x 7min intervals, defo 5 hour round, means getting in clubhouse 9.30pm.

I reckon it will be crumpets and a choice of toppings with a possible cake/scone etc, not a meal per se, it's going to be something light (nibbles).

looking at the menus there's a great choice of meals at this place, I'll personally be going for a nice king prawn starter before a nice Green Thai Curry with coconut rice 🍽 👍

So people, I need rough numbers based on no real meal as such being at the end of the 36 holes. Nothing's cast in stone as I appreciate our times at the club could distort the arrangements, but if it all falls in place, then let's be having you.

I'll confirm times later but we'll meet in the Wetherspoons in Woking then I'll have some cabs take us to the restaurant.

Good choice! All you can eat for about £20 if I remember. All cooked freshly to order, just keep ordering and they keep feeding! Pretty sure you'll get your money worth! Can't confirm atm unfortunately, if it changes I'll let you know.

Is this the EO in Chobham or Westfield? Used to work in Old Woking Service Station while I was doing my A Levels... so old stomping ground last century! Looks like the Westfield one is the old Cricketers Pub!

As said previously, might need to play this by ear as no idea when we'll leave the course..... but looks good otherwise

Westfield Rd, less than 2 miles out of centre so only a couple of quid each in a full taxi.
