Shane Lowry

Hear what your saying but cant help think that we havent seen the best from Lowry yet, to me he looks like a player going places.....

didnt he do well (Brucie) last year at the BMW? maybe the course just suits him. I'll stick with my post

So youve watched him finish second at the BMW, then he's won the qualifier at Walton Heath and he suddenly looks like hes going places? Is that you Shane?

Could see him contending if we get a very windy Open, not convinced he will fare so well in the US based majors personally, have him down as a tough weather type of contender

His Irish Open win as an amateur was a crap weekend for weather, so he can do it when it's blowing a gale and chucking it down

I stood and watched him hitting balls at Muirfield last year and thought to myself "How the hell is he not World Top 50 hitting it the way he does".

But you could say that about a few!

Regardless he's a cracking ball striker and golfer.

I've followed Shane on twitter/facebook and local media for quite a while and from his own mouth his long game has been good all season. He had been having problems with the putter. I think 4 of his missed cuts were by one shot, Returned to an old putter before the Spanish open and has seen a big improvement. Listened to an interview that Paul McGinley gave on a local radio station which backs up what others have said before, he is apparently a great ball striker. I can see him improve the rest of the year, maybe not a major just yet though.

I would say his form this season can be described at best as streaky. Mind you if he gets on a roll like Wentworth, especially at the Open then he could have a good chance. Personally I don't think he'll win but you've got to be in it to win it

Well if your predictions as good as your Rory one, I think I'll put my money elsewhere.

Indeed, a player to watch though! Just don't load too much pressure on him by telling him Shivas is backing him to win a Major!

I have not followed Shane on Twitter or Facebook that would be modern stalking ha ha however I just like him as a golfer and would love him to win a Major but that is a big ask there is other Irish players who can play in a breeze.

He is a lad with his feet firmly on the ground and a great game but!!!

Hit em straight ......ish
