Sexist comments

Now I guarantee that if a male coach had said he picks his (female) team on breast size or nicest boobs there would have been an uproar.

Almost guarantee there would have been a witch hunt.

Why on the other hand is it seen as a great come back line when it's on the other foot?

The lady was asked a daft question and gave the appropriate answer - the journo brought her sex into it and she gave a very clever reply , think she should be applauded and good luck to her

I thought the woman handled the question with the disdain it deserved. As for Moyes, that was a nonsense story and he and the club should have laughed it off rather than take it seriously and give it credibility. I've heard the interview a number of times and it is clear to everyone there is no threat, it is a jocular comment that is playfully said. People can see it written down and take it out of context but that would be silly. Unfortunately there are people who love to jump on that sort of thing and Moyes was hung out to dry.

What do you consider as a reliable source then?
Well none of the press for starters .
In this sort of thing I don’t think there is a reliable source .
I think it’s blown up out of all proportion depending on ones point of view.
Watching the interview would be the only source and make your own mind up.

How do you get any information about anything? Our do you only believe what you see or hear yourself? Or just those things that suit your argument?

Well I can’t belive anything I don’t see or hear. That’s obvious.
The things that suit my argument obviously or I wouldn’t think that way!
But it looks like they are the opposite things that you belive.
Do u belive everything in the press? Or only what suits you?

No, I take a measured viewpoint and don't automatically discount them if they come from a certain source. I believe some more than others from personal experience but tbh I would tend to trust The Guardian more than some other parts of the press.

It was a sarcastic response to a pathetic question. I'd like to think that if the genders were reversed it would be seen the same way, although sadly I think you might be right in that there may have been a more overblown media reaction.

Agree, from experience it is rare for "it was just banter" to get you out of a sticky situation. Just ask Richard Keys.

For me it doesn't matter the context.

If a male answered like that there would be an outcry, bra's would be getting burned.

I'm afraid you will probably go through life getting very angry and upset if you are unable to understand the context or nuances of many different situations. Just about everything in life is said in context from 'bantz' between golfers on the course to Prime Minsters statements. Some times people cross the line and should be challenged on what they say, but in this case if you are unable to see the irony of what she said in the context of the question then it's probably more your problem then hers.

I'd suggest it would be a lot more than "may be right"!
