Doesn't Scottish Golf say scores are only acceptable in an 'active season' anyway?!
I'm not in Scotland but what is an 'active season' and where does it say it.
I know the concept of official active seasons is recognised in North America and varies by State.

I was on Scottish Golf with and English CDH.

Following the change I cannot get on as my CDH beginning with 1 is not recognised.

written to SG without success.

Any ideas please?

I've never heard of the active season thing.
As long as it is a measured course and a max of 2 temp greens it should be fine.

There has been no active season since the switch to WHS, it just has to be a measured course and scores can be posted

You've not got a Scottish Golf CDH number, you're not going to be able to log onto the SG website as you're not an affiliated member

I'm putting in a score today on my ig app.
Ridiculous that the SG app is not back up.
That will be pointless, SG is not accepting scores during the period you were already informed about, so the score you post on IG won't feed into your record.

GUIDANCE ON THE WHS RULES OF HANDICAPPING AS APPLIED WITHIN GB&I
GDef/1 Active and Inactive Seasons Active and Inactive seasons are not implemented in GB&I.

Golf should be played throughout the year; although for many clubs the course setup may mean that, in winter, scores will not be acceptable for handicap purposes. However, it is expected that all clubs will endeavour to encourage players to return acceptable scores throughout the year where possible. Guidance is provided for the use of temporary greens and tees in G2.1/3. Further guidance in Appendix H is applicable when adverse course conditions prevail. Clubs should refer to their National Association for specific guidance on dealing with adverse course conditions.

Someone should tell Scottish Golf as they referred to 'active season' regularly when WHS launched and still do on their website.

Which they don't define there, because it's the whole year. This argument has been had with them that to hold a full year active season in Scotland is ridiculous, but they won't listen

Interesting! The IG app at my club was closed down but over coffee before play someone said that it was back on. Went onto IG and it allowed us to enter a score. Will see in the morning I suppose.
Edit... my score today (submitted on IG) is showing on SG website whereas the NYD comp we were told was non-counting is not.

Looks like ego within the golfing organisations are finally acknowledging that they screwed up the handling of the WHS and have booted it out to the private sector for some good old money grabbing opportunity! Shame they can‘t take some form of socialist view to things and give it to one set of developers worldwide to develop
and international solution..
