Ryder Cup uniforms

At least it will never compare with some of the US styles from the past. Remember the horror outfits from Brookline?

I expect 'nae taste' from the Americans, that's just par for the course- but Europe is the hub of style and design, but lets ignore that and they make our 'champions' look like they've been forced to wear an old jacket for the local golf club prizegiving!

Poor start Mr McGinley

It's a tartan jacket - can't see what's wrong with it myself

Looks pretty good

Looks quite snazzy :D

Despite having a surname that begins Mac, I think there is a limit as to where tartan should be used.
It just looks a mess on jackets as there are so many seams where the pattern changes direction, sleeves, lapels, pockets etc.
(Did you guess that sewing is my livelihood?)

I was thinking much the same myself. As with the exception of kilts which I think do look smart in a tartan kind of way, does tartan actually look very good on anything?

Why don't they call up whoever dresses Kaymer as he always looks smart (cue someone finding a photo of him looking like he dressed himself in the dark)

I would certainly prefer to se those jackets as opposed to the previous lemon or salmon pink efforts

When it comes down to it as long as the players like it then it will be fine

The clothing has always been good

The pink ones were lairy but that's because they made the mistake of getting salmon pink rather than the traditional baby pink that Breast Cancer charity ribbons are usually made from

Appears it's all for Tartan Tuesday with proceeds going to local charities

Never really cared. Hated those US shirts with the old photos on at Kiawah Island but not really been too many fashion faux pas on the course. Some of the jackets for the ceremonies though have been terrible. Not that fussed what they wear as I'm interested in the golf not the clothes

Brookline - 99

One thing for certain, the Euro lady partners always wear classy gear while the Americans dress appallingly.

They seem to have dropped the WAGS having matching air stewardess outfits for the opening ceremony, thank goodness.
All we need now is to convince the girls to drop the tacky flag transfers on their cheeks!
