They seem to have dropped the WAGS having matching air stewardess outfits for the opening ceremony, thank goodness.
All we need now is to convince the girls to drop the tacky flag transfers on their cheeks!

We are talking the cheeks on their faces? If not then I certainly approve, beats a bunch of anonymous old men in blazers any day of the week.

Tartan is quality to wear as golf clothing - got a fair number of items

I have a pair of Poulter trousers in a fetching tartan. Nowt wrong but not a fan of it in jackets. There's the US tour event (Bay Hill????) where the winner gets a jacket and they always look funny/wrong

The tartan on the jacket isn't the official one. The ryder cup tartan is blue and was on the trousers they wore yesterday

Nowt wrong with tartan trews, have 3 or 4 pairs myself.... but tartan jackets just don't seem right to me.

Some of the more reserved players probably hate having to wear it.
