Everyone's bringing them out now of course. I haven't watched this one yet, but I'm keen to see what Bullard scores as he's certainly a better golfer than Shiels in my opinion:

Just watched the Bullard one and then his round with Ewen Furguson. He's obviously decided to put a bit of focus on his golf game recently as they were both absolute stripe shows - unbelievably good golf.

He obviously plays his best when the old competitive juices get flowing again as well - not phased by the pressure at all.

He is class now he's been playing regularly again. He had a match a while ago against Todd Clements, who's also on the DP World Tour and he gave him a decent match too. I haven't watched the Ferguson yet since it's 1.5 hours long so I need to find time for it, but I will!

Well, off to Marco Simone this morning with fingers crossed that it will be more organised than the Solheim. No walk ups allowed shuttle bus transfers from the stations and taxi drop off points. Which begs the question, have they enough buses?
My Mrs is confident they'll have it boxed off. Me? Not so.
I'll let all know.

I just posted on the Solheim thread about the NLU podcast that is pretty scathing regards to the organisation of the Solheim.

Let's hope Italians can do it better.
NLU was good. Sounds like the policy at Finca was to choose Spanish contractors for everything regardless of competance or experience.

I thought they were a bit harsh on LET though. LET is a poor organisation, and had to go with the most financially attractive option, not the best.

Without wanting to take a political path, Mod edit: politics

I like the videos when Tubes & Ange aren’t playing.
Bullard is so good.

Without wanting to take a political path, this is partly a product of Brexit.

More economics than politics :) As someone who works with governments across Europe, Africa and the Middle East its common that a governing body of a sport (or other industry) will be required to stimulate / invest in the local economy.

We will never know , (and you may be right) but I would suggest that even if we were still part of the EU, that the Spanish would have still used a Spanish company.

Good to hear the press conferences yesterday , impressed with how well Donald speaks

Was surprised though that they are going for Foursomes to start with

Makes sense to me. More likely to finish on time before lunch.

I’m pretty sure that finishing by lunch will be significantly low on the priorities of why he they went for foursomes first

More than likely because it’s statistically the stronger format for Europe over the years and it allows the captain to potentially play all the rookies on the first day

lol, I didn't just mean finishing on time for lunch (although for me personally that would be of vital importance). Finishing on time gives them more time to reset and prepare for the afternoon matches as well.
