I want him to succeed so hopefully you are right and it goes well. With the way he drives the ball and flushes his irons I think he may play more than people think.

He gave up I believeHe could easily have a debut similar to Thomas Pieters
(although whatever happened to Pieters...)
Is Aberg the Theo Walcott, 2006 World Cup, pick? Huge gamble.
(I may have got carried away with my comparisons here )
And yet you're posting on a thread specifically titled "Ryder Cup"...This is a controversial thing to admit probably but the Ryder Cup doesn't do much for me. For whatever reason I've never found it that interesting.
I wonder if Meronk is moving over to LIV, and that has affected the selection?
Probably better that he posts it here than the 'Would you buy an EV' threadAnd yet you're posting on a thread specifically titled "Ryder Cup"...
True mate but Hojgaard won there in 2021 and T5 this year so obviously likes the course too.oh god, not sure Meronk should be left out, he loves Rome
I'd still find it interesting to see who makes the team, etc. And the reasoning behind the picks. And yet you're posting on a thread specifically titled "Ryder Cup"...
I actually agree. I will watch it but personally it's behind the likes of the open, the masters and the players for me.I'd still find it interesting to see who makes the team, etc. And the reasoning behind the picks.
But wouldn't find the actual playing side of it that fascinating.
At least they haven’t gone so far as face painting like in the SolheimI actually agree. I will watch it but personally it's behind the likes of the open, the masters and the players for me.
I find the chanting and the Europe costumes cringey at best
Let's not forget Ludvig Aberg.
Would rather him on the team than Paul, Perez, Power + Otaegui.
He also builds for the future
It will all come down the last match on the course on Sunday. Lowry v JT. Car crash golf. Not a birdie between them. A cringefest of bad golf, in a contest of which one is which one is least out of form. Decided on the 18th where one dribbles a 3ft double bogey putt 6" short of the hole to hand it to the other...but which of the two missed that put ?I would have picked Meronk in front of Lowry.
Lets see the ladies chest bumping and downing beers in one and crushing the cans on their head.At least they haven’t gone so far as face painting like in the Solheim
I also could do with a bit less of the jingoism and a lot less of the stupid ‘look at me’ fancy dress nonsense.I actually agree. I will watch it but personally it's behind the likes of the open, the masters and the players for me.

Although I do feel for Meronk and expected him to be in, ultimately LD has to pick the team he thinks will win. Regardless of who he picked there’d always be coulda shoulda woulda shouts.
I can’t wait for it, and although I don’t like the fancy dress, it’s the same as football for me, I zone out and watch the sport rather than concentrating on the periphery shenanigans and commentary. And for a couple of times a year, I’m fine with the shouting and chanting, see also the waste management open. Not every week but every so often is a nice change.
