Random Irritations

I had that a while ago.
Was rather concerned for a couple of hours.
Pain in the whatsit for some days after, but recovery was far better than my first fears.
I was warned about likelihood of recurrence in the years ahead.

My first time was scary, Ambulance, blue flashing lights, mri scan , all because they werent 100% it was Bells. Lasted about 6 -8 weeks iirc . So was a lot more relaxed this time , but the difficulty speaking properly is seriously miffing me…..

Yep. Our course closed again today. The practice area is like a swamp so not even worth practicing short game stuff. Changed the oil in HIDs car instead.
Ours opened one day this week!
Can't understand why. I think the logic is often "We're "open" but assuming no-one is stupid enough to play".
We were.
Gave up halfway.
I asked my partners "How often do you see Pro golfers trying to keep their balance on a fairway?"
They actually closed it yesterday, Saturday, comp day. Almost unheard of because of 1 Proshop revenue
2 Those who work and can only play weekends in darker months.

Not sure where you have the figures from, but most sites I have seen have Bristol having 130-140 mm estimated rain in January.

This is where I get my figures from. an excellent site that shows real-time updates of all weather stats as well as 20 plus years of data. Very useful to compare year on tear as well as season on season.

According to the figures we average 40-50mm in November, December and January

We had over 100mm in each month........and February hasn't started off too well either....

Have you missed the deluge that has caused problems in Somerset or is their's an annual flood?
The Somerset levels is a very flat area that has flooded over the millennia, problems come through dredging, or the lack of it as well as clearance and management of reens which are"complex, ancient, and highly managed network of rivers, artificial channels, and smaller ditches known locally as "rhynes" (pronounced "reens" in the east, "rhynes" to the west).

1. Odd behaviour because it would have meant there stuff was not getting closer to the till on the conveyor but was it because they did not want to pack the nearest item until the end. What no 'next customer' dividers either

2. The staff should have taken them to task any way - I think I remember there is one price for eat in and another for take out (I always get asked at Greggs- it is to do with VAT)
1. There was a ‘next customer” divider. I could have moved that up but thought it was a bit presumptuous. The offending item was a packet of mince. If they wanted to pack that last, they could just have put it through and left it beside their bags.

2. I could be wrong but I think the cafe charges the same for takeaway as sit in.

Isn’t there a different application of VAT for eating/drinking inside, as apart from takeaway? Having a takeaway then consuming it inside seems like tax avoidance - prevalent in Costa.

Just seen the weather on Countryfile and they said that somewhere in Scotland has 405% of the average monthly rain in January 😳☔

My speech was not greatly affected, but eating was tricky/messy for a while.
My recovery was fairly swift. Stopped taping the eye shut for sleep after 8 or 9 days. Continued putting drops in for much longer as eye still did not blink properly.
Gob looked a bit droopy on right side for 3 weeks, but eating was OK.
3 weeks I'd say.
Think I was very lucky compared with others I hear about.

Taping the eye shut is a right pain isn’t it…my forehead looks like it’s been botoxed !!
