How's the blood pressure?

In both cases, I would have just said, quite politely, "Excuse me, could someone please serve me?". No point standing around like a lemon and no need to go nuclear after 1 minute. Do you think you would have got an answer from the head office number (once you had found it!) quicker than politely asking?

I didn’t say anything as they had already addressed me.

I gave it 10 minutes then left, I wasn’t going to ask them again.

I also wasn’t going to call head office, that just would have been more of my time wasted.

I went home and made my own coffee and all was right with the world

10 minutes is far too long to be ignored in a retail outlet. I walk out as soon as I get the feeling!
