Not sure where you have the figures from, but most sites I have seen have Bristol having 130-140 mm estimated rain in January.113mm in Jan this year around here, a little above average but drier than last year.

My first time was scary, Ambulance, blue flashing lights, mri scan , all because they werent 100% it was Bells. Lasted about 6 -8 weeks iirc . So was a lot more relaxed this time , but the difficulty speaking properly is seriously miffing me…..I had that a while ago.
Was rather concerned for a couple of hours.
Pain in the whatsit for some days after, but recovery was far better than my first fears.
I was warned about likelihood of recurrence in the years ahead.
Two hours in A&E and I was on my way home this evening with a diagnosis of Bell's Palsy much to my and Mrs V's relief.
Could have been worse.
Good ol' NHS.
Off to bed now.
Ours opened one day this week!Yep. Our course closed again today. The practice area is like a swamp so not even worth practicing short game stuff. Changed the oil in HIDs car instead.
