Random Irritations

We have a call blocking option on our landline through Sky so it only accepts numbers we recognise. However, if somebody else calls and wants to speak to us, they are put on hold and we can decide whether to accept the call or not. It works really well and we get no cold calls.
For my mobile, it detects potential spam calls and I also have Bitdefender Mobile Security which also blocks a lot of spam calls.
I have one and it killed off all spam callers.
But I miss the days of the sport of engaging them for ages with my wife shouting in the background "Leave them alone, they're just trying to earn a living!"
"I understand you were recently involved in a motoring accident"
Yes, two years ago, I was fatally injured".
And she carried on.
Oh, game on!

Not working today, decent weather, but it’s ladies day, so decided to go trout fishing at a place I’m a member at.

Left home at 7:25, it’s a 45 minute drive, except it took me an hour to get out of Aylesbury..even had to pop into Chez @Imurg for a widdle.

In total it took me 2 hours 15 minutes to get there, logged in on the system and started fishing
It was extremely uneventful to the point of nothing happening at all, at 11:30 I got a call from the owner who saw that I was logged on to say that they haven’t stocked the lakes in 2 weeks as they are doing some algae treatment.
No mention of it on the website

So basically a wasted morning then 🙄🙄

Still better than work🤷‍♂️😆

Terrys chocolate oranges. There now rammel. The best bit was smashing it on the worktop to get to the middle bit which was the best bit. Now there’s no middles. Scandalous.

A road closure on my way to work, but with no sign on the entry of the road to warn you. Just drove all the way up to it and turn around and drive back again. 😖 Then more roadworks, then stuck behind a bin lorry for a bit - took me half an hour to do a 15 minute drive.

Buses which, rather than not running to schedule, simply don’t turn up at all, throwing your plans into chaos.
Our bus company have an app (I'm sure many do) that let's you track the location and ETA of your desired bus. It's great, no more rushing over to the stop 20mins before "to be sure".
Except for the two occasions the app has told me it's a minute away from me ....... then..... it's a minute past me and there was no bluddy bus!
I now have Ghostbusters on speed dial.

Took me 50 mins this morning for what is normally 10 mins commute. Going to be like this for six weeks due to a bridge repair. It’s the only route on and off the isle, unless you have a boat or a helicopter.

SharePoint and Onedrive. Drives me absolutely nuts.
Hallelujah!!! It’s not just me then, I’ll add one extra issue to both of these, bloody 2 factor authentication to use them that then doesn’t work properly so you have to authenticate it again (a 3rd time)by entering your log in details on top of it all.

And that's before you even factor in trying to avoid all the brand new potholes that have appeared (or old ones returned) since we had the freezing weather the other week.

Would that be the two-factor identification using the Microsoft email address that suffers about 100 attempted hacks every week?

No worse an MOD one that’s supposed to be really secure but you have to use your personal phone with a Microsoft app downloaded to authenticate so it’s even less secure 🤣
