Random Irritations

Got the lurgy, first time in long enough I’ve not been well.

Mrs H has it. A very disturbed night.

When I have it I take myself to the back of the cave and come out when I’m better. Mrs H needs regular cups of tea, and never shuts up about feeling hot/cold/aching etc in her best whiny voice. At midnight last night she wanted me to take her to hospital, but she wasn’t so ill she couldn’t make herself a cup of tea and go sit on the terrace smoking. Drives me nuts!

She’s sat doing Sudoko puzzles - not bad for someone who had pneumonia & cholera at midnight!

On the subject of dishwasher tablets.....
We once had mice get inside through the aperture in the wall where the kitchen sink drained out.
I discovered this not by seeing them but on opening the cupboard door under the sink. Several JCloths were totally shredded - presumably for nesting material.
But, lots of dishwasher tablets had been gnawed open and the contents reduced to powder. I never fathomed out that one 🤔

Who can fathom rodents. We had a major infestation so I put down poison under most floor boards, the remainder of the box was put on the top shelf of rack in the shed, the rodents climbed up to the shelf and finished the box off.

Last time we had mice they got in one of the kitchen cupboards and helped themselves to my Coco Pops. I was raging. The traps were set, baited and I declared all out war.

A man’s Coco Pops are sacred.

You need to get a cat. Not for the reason you might think...

Our cat used to bring in mice and release them unharmed.
They took up residence behind the fridge, and the only food they ever took was out of the cat's bowl.
Your Coco Pops will be safe :ROFLMAO:

I don't think I've ever had it...some life threatening colds though.

Think I’ve had it twice. Massive difference between a nasty cold and flu. I was in my prime the first time, 24 & very fit. Knocked hell out of me. I was still coughing 4 months later.

Yeah, completely bed ridden aren't you. I'd definitely remember because I'd still be going on about it.
