Indeed, but individuals and institutions in the UK raise and fly the Union flag and such as the Saltire mostly, or indeed wholly, in celebration of their country as it is and what it stands for today…not as it was at some loosely identified or undefined time in the past.

I think many flags of many nations are used as different symbols by different groups. I doubt there’s many countries where every citizen marches to the same tune.

I agree, especially any group claiming to be “Patriots/Nationalists” I just wanted to point out to SLH that is not just an English issue. Flags are regularly “claimed” by any and all rabble rousers.

2nd irritation of the day! Engine management lights just decided to come on in my car! Quick diagnostic check shows it’s one of the glow plugs! Just ordered 4 new ones from Euro Car Parts for delivery tomorrow £107 to be fair not a bad price and I’ll fit them when they arrive but it’s just a little bit irritating

BMW EV first service check at the dealer... an acctuator replaced under warrenty. Otherwise visual check + Brake oil change. Total £500 incl 205 for labour charges. The BMW bonnet is sealed and can only be opened by 'trained folks'. That trained folk just cost me 200 quid

Aircraft air is changed around every 2 mins or so, entering from upper vents and exhausted a lower vents and it is only partially recirculated. It’s the check in and security queues where the most cross infection risk occurs.

But this was definitely not terminal related as the terminal was all open air not undercover at any point at all. Plus I avoid people like the plague at airports as I hate people
