Random Irritations

Peoples inability to spend time with their Kids, without making a big song and dance about it on social media.
My personal fave!! Woman checks in on Facebook at hospital with kids named! And the last line of Don’t ask!

Queue the responses. “Oh no what’s up hun”, “have DM’d you”, “stay strong queen “ 🤣🤣

If you’re ever having a bad day just get the popcorn out and scroll facebook for someone seeking validation and laugh 🤣

Pathological Demand Avoidance - a new term for naughty kids. Or if I was being a bit more caring, a behaviour pattern which 'experts' say causes children to become anxious when asked to do things like say please and thank you or to tidy their rooms.
This has come into the news as Harry Judd's (from Mcfly) wife has claimed one of her children has it. Does every kid now get some kind of label?
I have Alcohol Affected Intermittent Maturity Deficit Disorder.

There does seem to be a large part of society now that needs to have kids and people labelled. It happens everywhere, my kids school are awful for it we had “online parents evening” middle of September!

My youngest only started secondary school this year and she’s quite a shy kid when you first meet her, then once you know her you can’t shut her up 🤣

Her teacher asked us “have we had her tested for ADHD or autism, as she doesn’t ever put her hand up in class or get involved with other children outside of her best friend” (best friend she’s known since she was 5)! My ex was unusually lost for words (that’s a first her being silent), I just said no we haven’t and she has neither of those things she’s been at your school 2 weeks and is transitioning from being at Junior school to now being one of the smallest at a school with over 800kids at it! So no wonder she’s being quiet she is literally a rabbit in headlights adjusting!

Less than 10days later at the end of the month we had the “1 month review” same teacher “your daughter is such a delightful bubbly little chatter box, always smiling and has made so many new friends! Cue my sarcastic response so she’s not autistic or suffering from ADHD like you said and in fact was just a “bit shy around new people”.

I’m not trying to be flippant toward people genuinely that have autism or adhd etc but seems society at moment is very quick to throw out these labels or trying to pigeon hole kids before they’ve even given them a chance at developing.
It’s tough to get a diagnosis these days and these kids are put into mainstream school with no sort of funding for one to one education.

My daughter is a primary teacher.
She’s has four SEN pupils in her class!
She’s been spat at ,kicked, punched in the face, stabbed with a pencil, sworn at and threatened!
She’s covered in bruises.
Her TA was hospitalised with a damaged lumbar disc !
These kids are 5+6 yrs old.
Some parents are no better.

She is looking for a job outside of teaching as she dosnt want to feel frightened of going to work.
At the moment unfortunately she is!

1. Hearing that a girl who was suspended twice in middle school has just pushed a boy down 3 flights of stairs at the upper school - she is a complete thug whose mother excuses her behaviour as “just kids being kids” - well looks like she may just get a wake up call as the young boy is in intensive care with him being touch and go

2. My dad being ill for the last ten days and not telling us as he flew to Scotland to visit friends, rushed to hospital last night and looks like he has got Hep e

My cousin and his wife, now ex, briefly lived with my sister for a few weeks at one point (between houses). His wife did this every day after work. She'd walk in and in full dramatic mode exclaim, 'don't ask, just don't ask'. My sister doesn't do drama though, so she didn't. It drove the woman mad. My sister loved it, looked forward to the daily exclamation and complete fury when she wouldn't bite 🤣

The schools excuse their behaviour as well because it’s almost impossible to expel a pupil as there is nowhere for them to go.
Shame it takes a boy fighting for his life to wake them up.!

Hope your Dads ok.

A good PP pal of mine, his daughter has got her first job as a teacher at a primary school. 6yr old the kids. She set up her class room and got a lovely 2 seater settee off face book so there could be a quiet corner for a chill area and one to one when reading. When she picked it up, the elderly lady asked was it for her first home. She replied “ it was for schoolThe Old lady gave it her for nowt as she was a retired teacher. Anyway, During the first week at school, one of the kids was collared for swearing and swearing very frequently.
When the dad came to pick him up. Said teacher pulled him to one side and she said “ we have had to isolate little Tommy due to his swearing”. Said dad turned round to his son and said “ what the f*** have we told you about f***** swearing you F***** idiot “. What do you do.

I’m somewhat sceptical as to whether that actually happened!!

England v Wales.
Ignore the score (please).
2nd half England change shirts.
Same numbers, no names.
Apparently, this is "dementia friendly"!!
Was trying to work that out myself! Having seen my Nan suffer from dementia and both my uncles with Alzheimer’s I’m confused as to how removing the names is in support of it!!

The only thing I can think of is it’s to highlight to people that don’t know much about the diseases and are trying to highlight that people sometimes blank out names and don’t recognise loved ones! It’s a long shot but it’s all I’ve got 🤔

I’m not.
A parent turned up at my daughters class to pick up her child smoking a spliff!
I find that less surprising than Tashy comment where his story once again all falls perfectly into place with the sofa now being received free from one teacher to another, then the swearing outright in front of the teacher not once, not twice but three times.
Suspect a lot of poetic license
This is I suspect more an accurate description of what actually occurred! Seems to be quite common but what do I know 🤷🏼

Yes my mum and dad both had it.
They forgot my name regularly.

Mum told me once to “ be quiet the kids were asleep”

“ I am the kids “ I said 😂
I was 56 yrs old then.

Horrible condition has me a little worried for my own future!

I recall taking my mum to see my nan, when my oldest daughter was about 4. She walked in a greeted me thinking I was my dad and my little one was my sister as a child. That’s always stuck with me that memory, you try and laugh it off but it is quite chilling when you think about it.

I’ve already got a crap memory so I’m not convinced my futures bright in that regards and that worries me more than any other disease quite frankly.

Oh it happened, she was initially doing her placement training at the primary school where I take grand daughter. She is a lovely young woman. Granddaughters school is an excellent well funded middle class school in Edwinstowe. The school she works at now is in a “ less desirable” area of Sutton in ashfield. She has had a rude awakening re what goes off.

Maybe we’re just not the brightest 😂 ( no offence intended)

That’s how I think of myself if I was very clever I would be worried 😉

I didn’t say it didn’t happen I said I’m sceptical that it did. As pointed out I think a little poetic licence has been had with the story, not saying it was you that embellished it but somewhere along the line I think that Chinese whisper has grown legs and got a little shall we say larger than what potentially actually occurred. Because it’s a 3rd hand story time it’s come on here!

Anyway whatever the underlying truth is it’s accurate that society as a whole is being dragged along on its arse.
