Just did a lot of heavy breathing and tutting as we set up our new beds

We once arrived at a hotel abroad and went straight to the pool. Found two sunbeds, got two drinks, then sat on the sunbed. Parked myself too far back and went a-o-t backwards with my drink all over me.
To roars of laughter I stood, bowed and loudly announced "Ladies and Gentlemen, the "Rixons" of Cardiff have arrived".
I got a round of applause

Ear infections are brutal.

Couldn't tolerate the pain any longer, took a trip to the hospital at 2am. No way I could wait until Monday to see GP.

Just the 3hr wait (not bad, as A&E patients were waiting up to 11 hours). Home now, antibiotics to pick up in the morning (i.e just over 2 hours)

I'll definitely be withdrawing from the club competition, as tee off is in about 3hrs. Wondering if I'll be fit for the Open I'm in on Sunday

Ear infections. I had them
Every year as a kid. They were due to perforated ear drums which I popped when blowing my nose.
When I was three, apparently I tried to run under a swing when it was moving. Suffice to say I broke my nose when said nose hit said swing. It was the broken nose causing problems with my ears. So I had a nasal re bore. Drill the nasal passage bones.
Since then I have not had one agonising ear infection.
Touch wood.

Our Samsung fridge/freezer has a "beep beep" alarm if you keep the door open too long (I'd say about 30 secs).
Seems pointless - I know the door's open, given that I'm standing there.

This morning we discovered the freezer door had been very slightly ajar overnight, resulting in a fair bit of frost buildup.
Did that alarm come on? Did it hell. What kind of alarm is it that only comes on when you don't need it to, but doesn't when you do?
