Random Irritations

Our dog hasn't been right for a while, arthritis taken over his back legs and just generally getting on abit. Went off his food this morning, and we sadly lost him at lunchtime. Just went into the garden where I begged him not to leave just yet, and he just sort of went as me and the wife held him.
He's been through everything with us, the ups of bringing the kids home from hospital, he was the first one in the family they met, to the lows of other family members leaving us, such a great way of comforting us without ever saying a word.

This pain is unreal.
Sounds like you gave him a great life in your family.
And he shuttled off naturally in your arms. I'd find great comfort from that, eventually. I hope you can.

The kids screaming in their garden about 50 yards away - deafening - I am all for them enjoying themselves and in such great weather. It's been eight hours non-stop now.
Tashy, got any of that armor-piercing ammunition left from youe mole hunt?

Gall bladder issues?
Thats how my wifes started. I won't say any more as I dont want to put you off getting it checked out if it repats.
Yep...my wife's Gall Bladder issues were dismissed initially as simple indigestion.

If the doctors/nurses had half a brain between them we wouldn't have had to spend five grand on hospital treatment in Crete and cut short our holiday a couple of months later.

Yip, got that every day next to us from the kids who are not in school and “home learning”.

Harsh and disrespectful!

Sorry to hear this....having lost our dog less than a couple of months ago I feel your pain...it is desperate, but hold on to the good memories, of which I'm sure there are many.

What made the doctors have less than half a brain?
And did you not have insurance?
Yes we had insurance.... not the point...my wife went through 6 months of recurring bouts of pain which was utterly avoidable if she hadn't been dismissed out of hand.

I retract the comment about half a brain, I recognize that our medical professionals are highly trained people...I just get angry when I recall the dismissive attitude of the people who dealt with her.

Did you get your £5k back?

Did you get your £5k back?
We did...which i was a bit surprised at given some of the expenses we incurred that were not directly related to treatment and the fact that it was my decision to end our holiday early and bring the family home....mind, we still needed to get certification that my wife was fit to fly...which was more expense.

I hope she is feeling ok now.

We got it sorted. The neighbours had a whip-round and we hired the Spitfire from the local airfield nearby to do a strafing run. :giggle:
