Random Irritations

It's an app the allows you to set up a virtual account for a trip. Every time someone spends money, they record the amount and how it is split between group members. At the end of the trip, it calculates who owes money to who.
Might be acceptable on a golf trip if you didn’t know everyone, but if it was just with close pals surely you just say “oi greedy bollocks, I think you need to put in a bit more”😂

Tbh though my Random Irritation would be “People that look at the prices of what other people are ordering” 😆

That’s exactly how it would go with me & my mates.
And I probably buy the beers for whilst we’re playing 8/10.
Suppose it’s different if it’s a close group tho.

People who are too cheap to pay for kerbs to be dropped around their driveway. Trying to find parking earlier, plenty of space just felt bad blocking someone's car on their drive. Someone will though

Just pay the money

I didn’t even know this was a thing.

It's about £2k to have a kerb dropped where I am.

Our neighbour has moved his girlfriend in. She’s brought her dog with her. It comes out in the garden and barks/yelps until it sets our dog off. My dog is really soft but has a deep booming bark that sounds aggressive. Having to bring him in because he’s reacting to their dog (who is jumping up at fence etc) is wearing thin. Looking at screening options as we speak but not convinced it will resolve the issue.

I live in a cul de sac in a small village, the houses in my road all being 1960’s construction. All have driveways, and all have drop kerbs leading to them apart from one. Mine.

I’m not paying a minimum of £1500 to correct an oversight by the original developers, which is quite clearly what it was.

Am I cheap?

Bit different from driving down a road looking for parking, finding 5 spaces but all of them are driveways where someone can't be arsed to have the job done properly. Cheapskates

Yet if I had parked there they would have moaned

It’s not cheap - everything is relative but just because someone doesn’t want to fork out a couple of grand on something they feel they may not need doesn’t make them “cheapskates”

Most people I know wouldn’t park in front of a drive with a car on regardless of the kurb being dropped or not - just good manners

Our neighbours dogs can be Barkie, but c’est la vie.

Edit, you could try to train your dog to not react.

Why would you park outside a drive where it was obvious a car might park, just because there isn’t a dropped kerb.

If there were a lawn or bushes etc outside your intending parking spot, then it would be obvious you could park there. If tarmac etc for a car ,that would be obvious too.
I don’t see a problem in knowing whether to park or not.
Moaning might be the least the householder may do.I think you’ll find that if he needed to leave and you were blocking his exit he would be entitled to smash a window in order to move the car to one side.He would have a defence to a criminal damage charge.😀
