The silence is worse. I hate watching sport without sound. I'm not that interested in the match/result to be irritated by the sound effects

My late MIL loved the darts but hated the crowds. She used to watch it with the sound turned down and Classic FM belting out on her radio

I can't see how somebody's being a public figure is justification for the press to use unlawful methods to conduct covert surveillance on the most private aspects of their life.
Law enforcement would have to demonstrate involvement in serious criminal activity to get anywhere near most of the stuff that NGN were harvesting.
Bizarre that the same press that gave them that high profile then used it as the basis for their snooping. Remember that he was a child who'd recently lost his mother when it started. Whatever you think of him, they created it.

He's always been the victim in all of this.
Have people forgotten how the press/media treated his mother and then his wife.

Work is being carried out today. Out goes the Vokera Mynute 20e boiler with separate water tank (78.0% efficient, 14-19.8kW output), and in comes Alpha e-tec plus 38nx combi boiler (94% efficiency, 36.9kW output). So it won't be overstressed. There's only two of us and we rarely use hot water except for showers and the occassional bit of washing up.

And, and almost because of that, so many are simply out for themselves, to make and keep as much money as they can - even if it’s at the expense or damaging to one or more or many others, then so be it - tough - as long as I benefit and be part of the ‘I’m all right Jack’ side of society then I’m ok that others suffer.

In these and so many other ways, we have at least in a quite large part, a spiritually bereft society.

I always find it strange when I'm at someone's house and they leave the sound on during the adverts. Very disconcerting.
